It is a comfortable distance away from the noise of the urban towns and entertainment areas of St Julians, St Paul’s Bay and Bugibba. With a new 4-lane road running along a stretch of Malta’s northern coast the Salini Resort is only a 10 to 15-minute car ride to the main ESE school in St Julians.

How far away is the airport? The Malta International Airport is only 18 km away from the Salini Resort taking some 30 minutes by car/taxi.

How far away is the ESE school? Lessons are held either at the Salini Resort which has 18 classrooms, or at the main ESE school in St Julians (8 km / 15 minutes away) , or at St Michael’s School in Naxxar (7 km / 15 minutes away). ESE supervised buses are provided free for all transport to school and activities.

Placement test You may either do your placement test online (at least 14 days prior to course start date) or on your first day of school. The test is an assessment to determine your level of English so that we place you in a class appropriate to your level. It is recommended that you do your test online so that no lesson time is wasted on your first day. Your booking agent should provide you with your Login details for your test in your booking confirmation letter.

Meals Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the students’ dining room offering a very good choice of food. Breakfast is served between 07:30 and 08:30. Hot lunch is served Monday to Friday and a packed lunch on Saturday & Sunday. Dinner is served at 19:00 hours and all meals vary from day to day and include a good choice of salads, pastas, pizza, meats, fish, fruit and dessert/ice cream.

What rooms are students accommodated in? Students are placed in triple or quad standard rooms on the first, second and third floors of the hotel with other students of the same gender and as much as possible of different nationalities.

WiFi

Free WiFi is available in the public areas and in the student dining and lounge area only. Charges apply for WiFi in all other parts of the hotel through a prepaid card system.

Laundrette facilities are available and a 5 kg load costs €5. Normal hotel laundry service is also available at a charge.

Cleaning

Rooms are cleaned every other day and linen and towels are changed on request and at least once a week.

Beach Towels Beach towels are not provided at the Salini Resort so please bring your own.

Student Welfare ESE Group Leaders supervise and assist all students 24/7 at the Salini Resort and on all ESE organised activities. A medical doctor is available on call. Deposit No deposit is made on check-in but students are responsible and liable for any damages caused on-site and must be paid at check-out.

Activity Programme Junior and Teen programmes include a full activity programme. Activities are organised every day (morning and/or afternoon) and evening Monday to Saturday. Sunday is a day of rest and free time but optional activities, such as a full day Gozo tour, diving or a power boat ride, are always on offer. ESE reserves the right to alter lesson times and activities in accordance with standard practices as stated in our Terms & Conditions.
