Dieter Geesing, P.Ag. and R.P.Bio

Dieter is the Regional Agrologist

for Metro Vancouver for the BC

Ministry of Agriculture. Prior to

his work for the BC government,

Dieter has worked for more than

25 years as a consultant and

researcher in agriculture, forestry and organic waste

management in and outside Canada. He has specialized in

soil science and holds a BS in Forestry, a MS in Plant and Soil

Science and a PhD in Plant Nutrition and Soil Science. His

research interests lie primarily in management practices,

innovations and policies that directly respond to the

degradation of soil, water and air resources. Dieter also

teaches at the Agriculture Department of the University of

the Fraser Valley.

A CPESC designation establishes and expands your credibility as an ESC practitioner. It sets you apart as a certified professional who can provide expertise to design and evaluate erosion and sediment control plans, to influence public policy and land-use planning decisions and to educate others in sound approaches for preventing off-site impacts from land development activities.

Download CPESC Application form (must be received 10 days prior to course start date). The Application Fee is $250 CAD, $100 Review Guide. For more information visit www.escac.ca. Must have pre-approval to be eligible to write exam. Minimum of 10 persons required to run course.

Lunch is provided for Review Course. 1st Year Membership to ESCAC Free with course registration!

CPESC • High School Diploma plus 7 years exp. in ESC • B.Sc Degree or higher plus 3 years exp. In ESC • Degree in engineering (agricultural, civil, or

environmental), geology, soil science, natural resource science or management, landscape architecture, or a related field is acceptable.

CPESC-IT • For those interested in obtaining a CPESC • not yet qualified in terms of the number

of years of experience.

The Erosion and Sediment Control Association of British Columbia (ESCA BC) hosts the only
