From the Art Departmentrom the Art Department Dear Parents,

Just a reminder that we, in the Art Department, are still inrecycling mode. We particularly require newspapers at themoment and lots of it. We are also currently in need of rib-bons, string, bottle caps and tops, old tools and toys (even if

it does not work), gift wrap, greeting cards, magazines, hardware (broken is fine), trans-parent plastic wrap etc . Frankly, there is notmuch we can’t find a use for. Howeverplease do not send juice or milk containers as

they attract cockroaches even when washed. Thanks so much,

Olivia Jones ES Art

For the Attention of Grade Four Parents: Please takenote of the information in this bulletin entitled ‘The Invisi-

ble Workshop’ which will take place on Earth Day – 22 April.

This workshop would be particularly suitable and relevant to

Grade Four students who have recently been creating tex-

tile art in Art Class. However, it is after school 3-5pm.

Therefore you will need to make your own arrangements for

your child to be there at that time. Please contact

[email protected] to book a place and make your own ar-

rangements for you child’s arrival and arrangement for pick

up, if interested. I believe there is a limit on numbers for

Gr 4 students, so first come first served. Helen Arnold  ES Art

From the PE Departmentrom the PE Department The ES PE department now has a growing list of physical activities and sports available for children in Manila. This includes activities at a club level or on a ‘drop in’ basis. You can access this information at the followingwebsite http://sportsmanila.wikispaces.com/

In order to update and add to our list, we are asking for your assistance. If your child is a part of a sportsclub or you simply know a great place to go and be active, then we would like to hear about it, including con-tact details and even a photo if you are happy to share this. Many students often verbally share with us all thegreat activities and sports they do on the weekends. We would like to make the most of this valuable re-source by sharing contact details, especially with those families that are new to Manila. Please e-mail me theaddress, phone number and name of the activity and a contact person.

Dear ISM Parents,

Greetings from the Admission Office! The Re-Enrollment Re-

quirements for School Year 2009-10 will be available for pick-

up in the Admission Office starting next week . All of the generic

re-enrollment forms are ALSO available on the website if you wish

to download and print the forms from there. The forms can be

found under  Admission and then under the Re-Enrollment &

Withdrawal tab.

The complete Re-Enrollment Packet will include the…

1. Re-Enrollment Clearance Form for SY2009-10 (2-pages) for

each child in the family.

2. Health Clinic Clearance Procedure (1-page) letter

3. Health Clinic Updating Form (2-pages) for each child in the

family

4. Tuberculosis Screening Form (2-pages) for students entering Grades 1, 5, or 9

5. Parent and School Shared Agreements (4-pages) form for each child in the family6. OPTIONAL Board Proxy Form (1-page) for each family

OPTIONAL PTA Directory Form (1-page) for each family

URGENT…if you know that your child(ren) will not be returning to ISM for the 2009-10 school year, please in-form the Admission Office as soon as possible if you have not already done so. We currently have very few fami-

lies indicating that they will not be returning and consequently there are an ever growing number of applicants in

a WAITPOOL for possible openings. This is causing great distress and anxiety in those families (and in the Ad-

mission Office). If you are sure that your child will be leaving ISM, please submit a Withdrawal Notification

Form or contact and verify with the Admission Office (840-8488) that he/she is listed as not returning for SY2009-

10. The Withdrawal Notification Form can be obtained from the Admission Office or from the ISM website un-

der the Admission tab and then click on Re-Enrollment & Withdrawal. This will be a great help for our planning

and to the many families waiting to be admitted to the school. Thank you.
