As the Scripture says...Psalm 9:17 “The wicked will be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

As the Scripture says...Timothy 3:15 “The Church of the living God is the ground and pillar of truth.”

As the Scripture says...Romans 1:16, “For I am not

ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

As the Scripture says...2 Corinthians 10:5 “Cast down

arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”

As the Scripture says...2 Timothy 4:2, “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”

As the Scripture says...2 Timothy 1:7, God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind.”

As the Scripture says...Philippians 1:27, “Only let your conduct

be worthy of the Gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel.

(28) And not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.”

As the Scripture says...(1) Apologetics of proof; in which the Church

publically and consistently presents a rational basis for faith.

(2) Apologetics as defence - which answers the objections of unbelief - the Apostle Paul describes his mission as “defending and confirming the Gospel.” Phil 1:7.

As the Scripture says...(3)Apologetics of offense – which involves

attacking the foolishness of unbelieving thought-, Psalm 14:1.

1 Corinthians 1:18 “for the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

The function of apologetics therefore is to expose that foolishness for what it is.

As the Scripture says...Biblical Christianity is the only genuine

alternative to the bankrupt philosophies of secular humanism not only because it provides:

(A) a comprehensive philosophy of life (Biblical Worldview)

(B)but because it also provides a message of hope (the Gospel of Good News) to a dark & dying world.

As the Scripture says...Isaiah 59:13 -14, “In transgressing

and lying against the Lord, and departing from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. (14) Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off, and equity cannot enter. (15) So truth fails...”

As the Scripture says...Psalm 11:3, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

As the Scripture says...Colossians 2:8, “Beware lest anyone

cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ.”

As the Scripture says...Martin Luther King, “The church must be

reminded that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but rather the conscience of the state. It must be the guide and the critic of the state, and never its tool. If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority.”

As the Scripture says...2 Peter 1:3, “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”

As the Scripture says...Isaiah 62:6, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent.”
