'vintages are subject to change'
“In Europe we thought of wine as something
healthy and normal as food and also a great giver
of happiness and well-being and delight.
Drinking wine was not a snobbism nor a sign of
sophistication nor a cult; it was as natural as eating
and to me as necessary.”
- Ernest Hemingway, ‘A Moveable Feast’
-
'vintages are subject to change'
KILROY’S CELLAR RESERVE Rare, limited release, collectable or simply aged – these wines are all cellar
controlled and in immaculate conditions but alas in very finite supply.

RIESLING
Usually dry despite misconceptions. Flavours of lemon & lime citrus
marmalade and gentle spice with crisp acidity. A highly versatile food wine.
[OD] denotes a wine that is off dry, meaning there is a small amount of
residual sugar remaining after fermentation. Fantastic on their own, these wines
shine with food and are among the few that can stand up to the spicy kick of chilli.

SAUVIGNON BLANC Light, racy and refreshing with passionfruit and exotic tropical fruit flavours
often with subtle herbal hints. Team with delicate seafood / lighter flavoured
dishes.
[BF] indicates the wine has undergone barrel fermentation. This is
a-typical of sauvignon blanc and gives the wine a richer, textural character
somewhat reminiscent of a chardonnay. Muted fruit notes, smoke, struck
matchstick aromas are common.

VIOGNIER
From its spiritual home in the Rhône Valley through to its plantings in the
new world, this once near extinct varietal has undergone a
renaissance in the last 25 years. Richly textured, dry to off dry this wine
is opulent, full bodied and elegant with aromatic apricot & floral
characters in its youth.

Once a component of both Champagne and white Burgundy,

sharp with apple, citrus and floral tones Pinot Blanc is sometimes
compared to un-oaked Chardonnay.

SHIRAZ & SHIRAZ BLENDS
Australia and more specifically South Australia has adopted Shiraz as our own.
South Australia is the largest wine producing state in Australia where the
majority of grape growing regions lie in warm areas and ideally suited to
producing full bodied Shiraz. If big, rich and ‘ballsy’ is your preference, look
no further than regions such as the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, or the
Heathcote for significant richness, intensity and power to which there is no
better partner than red meat.
