I.I.S Carlo Cattaneo starts as a Vocational Institute of Industry and Handicrafts “Carlo Cattaneo” in Rome, created by Royal Decree in 1924.

Our main target is the social inclusion of all our students and the school has always been engaged in finding all means to promote their success.

Our equal opportunities policy aims at preventing all forms of discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, ethnic origin, gender, language, nationality.

It is committed to training qualified technicians both in the mechanical and in the electrical /electronic sectors (CISCO Networking Academy ,Toyota Technical Education Program, work-related learning internships from the second classes, curriculum TEXAEdu Academy , UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, Group 37 )

It is a multicultural school. Students are from urban, suburban hinterland, and neighbouring regions (1000 students , nearly 400 non-Italian citizenship, from 25 different non-EU countries, 28 mother languages , 55 students with mental or physical impairment /disabilities and 57 with certified specific learning disabilities- SLD )

We are “Scuola Intermundia” and we have been awarded a prize for European cooperation.

From 2000 we have been working on European projects on Comenius and Leonardo actions and now on Erasmus plus KA1/2
