Tanya, a teenager, came with her youth leader to our training conference in Moscow, 2,000 miles from her home in Kemerova, Siberia. After the conference Tanya joined a discipleship group and later, the youth ministry leadership at her church. Pasha, a drug addict, almost died. During 18 months of rehab, he attended Tanya’s church and encountered Jesus, who radically changed him and set him free from drugs. He matured as a disciple of Jesus through the youth ministry. Later Pasha and Tanya married. He began a construction business to support them. Together they discovered their life purpose and have pursued it for the last 17 years: equip and empower leaders who reach and disciple teenagers through Jesus- Focused Youth Ministry. Our ministry is close to their hearts because both of their lives changed through it. For years Tanya led the church's youth ministry. She discipled 23 adult leaders who each discipled 10 students— 230 kids growing in Christ and reaching their friends— multiplied ministry! Pasha has coached 16 churches in Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry. Each one coaches two more. Those 48 churches coach 5 new youth leaders, with each one discipling 10 teens. 2,200 teens moving toward maturity in Christ—more multiplied Ministry! Now God has much larger plans in store for them. Because of the fruit of their ministry, their denomination has invited them to equip the 1,800 Church of Russia churches in Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry. By faith and with few resources, they have moved 1000’s of miles across Russia—to Kaliningrad, to begin this new adventure with Reach Out.
