1. The Education Facilities Division (EFD ) have just completed the conduct of series of Regional Meetings with DepEd Engineers and local representatives of DPWH for the implementation of various school building construction and repair/rehabilitation projects nationwide. The meetings were conducted in view of the critical need to have an understanding of the status of implementation of the construction projects specifically with DPWH and discuss and resolve issues and concerns that affect the smooth implementation of the projects.
2. In this regard, the EFD will conduct the 2016 Mid-Year Performance Assessment and Strategic Planning for 2017 of DepEd Engineers and Architects on August 23-26, 2016 (inclusive of travel time) at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) Conference Center, Tagaytay City. The meeting aims to:
• Assess the Performance of respective Regional and Division Offices in terms of the implementation of the following projects:
o Construction of School Buildings by DPWHo Repair/Rehabilitation of Classrooms under BEFF, Q R F and other Calamity
Fundso Construction/Repair/Rehabilitation of DepEd Offices with Approved Budgets o School Furniture Deliveries
This also aims to discuss consolidated issues and concerns raised during the conduct of regional meetings and the resolutions made and/or recommended resolution to these issues/concems.

• Prepare a plan of action for the proposed 2017 budget for School Building Construction, Repair and Rehabilitation under the Basic Educational Facilities Funds (BEFF), Electrification of Priority Schools (On Grid), Restoration of Gabaldon Buildings, and Construction/Repair/Rehabilitation of DepEd Regional and Division Offices and RELCs.
• Orient DepEd Engineers on their roles and responsibilities in the implementation of the Defects and Liability Period of all completed PPP projects
• Orient the DepEd Engineers on the implementation of eHRIS and Results-based Performance Monitoring System (RPMS).
• Reorient the DepEd Engineers on the implementation of the Constructors Performance Evaluation System (CPES)
3. Participants to this activity are the Regional and Division Engineers, Regional Education Support and Services Division (ESSD ) Chiefs, DepEd Project Engineers and Architects and selected staff of EFD at the Central Office. Attached in Annex A is the list of participants.
4. Travelling expenses of the DepEd Project Engineers and Architects and selected staff of EFD/CO shall be charged against O S E C Funds while Regional and Division Engineers and Regional Education Support and Services Division (ESSD ) Chiefs shall be charged against their local funds subject to the usual government accounting rules and regulations.
5. Attached is the Tentative Program of Activities.
