DIGITAL DEVICES IN SCHOOLS

Just a reminder that the following devices are not permitted at our school. Students who bring these

devices must switch them off and leave them in their school bag for the day. The school accepts no

responsibility for lost, stolen or broken items.

Thanks to our technology upgrades and generous donations from parents, the school provides students

with access to the devices they need for learning in their classroom.

SCHOOL PAYMENTS AND INVOICES

Recently you should have received an account for your child. Please ensure you check it carefully as some

amounts are in credit (not owing). If you have any questions or require help with payments, please

contact Mrs Carter our Senior Administration Manager via the office on 029876 2791. We can organise a

translator phone service if required.

Please note that the school has already had to pay for many events such as the swimming carnival,

Interrelate, gymnastics and other so money paid will actually reimburse the school for our loss.

Moving forward, the school will no longer be sending a semester invoice twice per year. An invoice for

general subject costs and other donations will be sent at the start of each year. Excursions, special

program and incursion will be on a ‘user pay as you go’ system. This means a note will be sent for each

event and payment will be required BEFORE your child can participate. This ensures the school does not

run at a loss for such events. If you are unable to pay or require student assistance to support your child

to participate, you are able to contact the school to discuss this and follow the process, so your child does

not miss out.

The school only accepts online payments. For more instructions to pay online - please see

the attached PDF.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Thank you to all those parents who are respecting and following social distancing in the afternoons. This

is very reassuring for our school community.

P & C

Please join us for the P & C meeting via zoom next Tuesday 8 September at 7p.m. The P & C will be reporting

on many areas such as band, uniform shop and fundraising for the school. I will present a report on current

activities and school planning. The P & C is a wonderful forum for you to ask questions and give feedback and

suggestions. It is now even easier to join us from the comfort of your own home.

Wishing all of our fathers, grandfather and special men a lovely day this Sunday.

Enjoy the beautiful weather.

Kind regards

Sept / Oct 2020 VACATION CARE IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Bookings for Sept / Oct MUST be received no later than midnight Thursday 24th September 2020 in order to confirm your booking without a late booking surcharge. Please note that no changes or cancellations are possible after this date without charge. Should you need to make changes, you must contact the Centre via email for further information regarding availability.

• Please be aware that ALL bookings are made online via our website. You must log in using your username and password and navigate to the appropriate section to make and change your bookings.

• ALL bookings taken and ALL changes made to your booking AFTER the applicable cut-off dates (noted above) are payable and incur a $5 surcharge per child, per day.

• During this vacation care period, ALL days are capped at a maximum of 85 for incursions. Please book quickly to avoid disappointment.

HOURS: The centre is open from 7.00 am until 6.00 pm. Late fees apply for late pick-ups as per the parent handbook (if you do not have a copy please ask us for one or visit our website).

MEALS: Breakfast is usually available until 8:30am and afternoon tea is provided each day. On some days (as specified in the program) we will supply lunch. Although the program may specify the centre’s provision of lunch, we advise you provide your child with morning tea and lunch EVERY day. This ensures that your child will have plenty of food for the day, particularly if they do not like what is being served on that day.

Please ensure you avoid providing your child with any nut products as we cater for children with severe nut allergies.

SIGNING IN AND OUT: Children must be signed in and out of the centre when dropped off and picked up, by a responsible adult each day they attend (as per our centre policies). Please note that this does not include brothers or sisters of children who are under 18 years of age, as well as those not on your child’s authorised collection list (unless specifically authorised prior via phone call/email). All people collecting your children (other than their parent/guardian) need to supply our staff with photo I.D. If you or an authorised collecter and you don’t have your username and password, which would require centre staff to sign your children in/out - the family will incur a non-sign in/out fee of $15.

(To add authorised collectors, please log in to our webserver.)

CHECK LIST: Each day all children must bring:

A hat and drink bottle (children should also wear sunscreen each day – particularly in the warmer months).

Morning tea, lunch and drinks.

(There are additional charges if the centre has to supply your child with lunch, recess or a water bottle - refer to parent handbook).

Suitable sun-safe clothing appropriate for art/craft and outdoor play as well as enclosed shoes (thongs/sandals/crocs are not appropriate).

Wet weather gear for excursions (if applicable).
