Tasks1• Task1: internal survey services, data/software resources

– WG7 proforma to collect from other WGs and produce repository – prototypical metadata describing available resources

• Task2: external survey (other ESFRI projects and wider) relevant international standards and activities – WG7 proforma to collect and produce repository – prototypical

metadata describing external resources, standards, influences• Task3: definition of conditions & advantages of any

infrastructure (European, national, local) in any relevant discipline joining EPOS. Interoperability criteria, legalities, rights, costs. – Advantages for different stakeholders – access, trustability,

Issues around resources

• Objective to encourage data resources, software resources, hardware resources, services to interoperate in EPOS

• Need to define conditions – benefits and expectations

• Traceability and acknowledgement– Usage, ranking?

EPOS e-Infrastructure within Context

• Rely on other developing e-infrastructures e.g.– EUDAT– PRACE/DEISA– Other ESFRI and other large-scale projects (LSST,

ENVRI...)• Produce virtual customised e-Infrastructure

for EPOS based on this• This is cost-effective and compatible way

assisting sustainability
