EP 4th & 5th Grade ChorusDear Parents,

We have had a great first half of the school year in the EP Chorus, and I would love for more students to experience this opportunity. Chorus is an extra-curricular singing ensemble where students can continue to develop the singing skills they have learned in music class and perform with their friends. The second session will begin in January and run through May.

Chorus rehearsals take place before school on most Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 – 8:45 am. Students should not arrive at the school before 7:50 am, as there will be no one available to supervise them. An exact schedule of dates will be sent home the first week in January.

There is a $25 registration fee for joining chorus. This money goes toward the purchase of music, folders, and pencils for the students. In addition, it covers the cost of the red EP Chorus t-shirt. Please mark your child’s size on the attached form. All checks can be made payable to Eagle Pointe.

Students will receive a chorus handbook at the first rehearsal that provides more information about expectations, absences, performances, and concert attire. Please read through the information carefully when it comes home.

The Eagle Pointe Chorus has been invited to perform the National Anthem at a Chicago Steel Hockey Game on Saturday, January 19th at 7:00 pm. The performance will take place at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, IL. It is not too late for your child to participate in this opportunity. If they would like to join us, please fill out the ticket information on the attached form and include the cost of the tickets with your registration fee. All ticket orders must be turned in by Friday, December 21 st in order to be included with our group.

If your child is interested in joining chorus, please fill out the attached form and return it along with your registration fee to Mrs. Nelson by Monday, January 7th (or Friday, December 21st if attending the hockey game.) Please note, if your child is already in chorus, they do not need to sign up again.
