If you are going through a difficult time, whether it be because of isolation,

job transition, personal loss, or anxiety in the time of sheltering-in-place,

consider asking for a Stephen Minister. CPC’s trained, caring Stephen Min-

isters will listen and walk alongside you as you deal with life’s challenges.

Contact one of our Stephen Leaders to see whether Stephen Ministry is the

answer for you or call the confidential line 916-486-0604. During this time of

social distancing, our Stephen Ministers are trained to provide confidential

care over the phone.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO FACE IT ALONE

HOW TO CONNECT There are several ways to stay connected with CPC outside of Sunday

services:

• Pastor Ivan hosts a brief time of daily prayer at noon Monday through

Thursday on Facebook. Go to www.facebook.com/carmichaelpres to join

in. You can also watch the videos anytime by going to “Posts” on the CPC

Facebook page. Note: Pastor Ivan is taking a break this week.

Noontime prayer will resume on Monday, January 4.

• Even though the church office is closed, Pastor Keith, Pastor Ivan, and the

office staff are working remotely. You can send an email or leave a

voicemail. Or, if it’s a pastoral emergency, call Pastor Keith or Pastor Ivan

at their home phone numbers which are listed in the church directory.

• Marinerships, book studies, and other groups are meeting via Zoom.

Check out “Meetings This Week” or contact your group/committee leader

for details!

Any contributions that you would like included on your 2020 giving statement

MUST be mailed by Wednesday, December 30. If you have not completed

your 2020 pledge, or can make an additional gift, please do so by December

30. If you have any questions, please contact Paul Shultz, Financial Adminis-

trator at [email protected] or 916-486-9081 ext. 205.

YEAR-END GIFTS

Snow sculpture events are extremely popular worldwide. Lake Tahoe’s

Northstar Ski Resort put on two events in late January 2013 and 2014.

These events attracted teams for Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexi-

co, the Netherlands, Wisconsin, and of course, Tahoe. Clair Daugherty’s

pictures capture this amazing winter wonderland.
