S1: If S1 is set, that particular Drawer is excluded as a possible candidate S1: in Auto Paper Mode. Original Count Mode
If you have an odd number of originals in 1 2, 1 1[2in1], or 1 2[2in1],some inconvenient situations result in page organization of your outputcopies. The copier provides the Original Count Mode in which it counts thenumber of originals loaded in the AFR-7 to determine whether it needs tomake the odd-page correction.
* Suppose you have an odd number of originals and you want to make 2-in-1copies from them. If you run the copy cycle without letting the copier countthe number of originals, the copier starts the 2-in-1 copy cycle by firstusing the last two originals. This means that you will end up having a blankpage beside page 1 on the last copy. See below.
The Copier Makes NoOdd-Page Correction.
The Copier Makes an Odd-PageCorrection.
▲ ▲ ▲
Select either one of the following three functions to let the copier perform theoriginal count sequence:Auto Count: The copier counts the number of originals loaded onto the AFR-7
to determine whether the number is odd or even. If the number isodd, the copier automatically makes the odd-page correction.
Even: Select this when you already know that you have an even numberof originals. The copier does not make any odd-page correction.
Odd: Select this when you already know that you have an odd number oforiginals. The copier makes the odd-page correction.
The Auto Count Mode is possible only when the copier is equipped with anAFR-7.
