1. Common Service
1.1 Customer Profile (Common Service > Customer Profile): Admin User
Only
Function Overview
User administrator manages user’s company information.
Time zone, language, customs filings results, and mail receipt alarm are settable here.
Business Processing Procedures
Enter user’s company information.
Choose user time zone and language.
Turn mail receipt alarm on or off for customs filings and user file transmission results; enter
recipient mail addresses separated with a comma.
Click Save to save data.

Items Description
[Basic Information]
Customer Name: User’s company name
Type : User’s company type (Forwarder, Sea Carrier, Air Carrier, Importer)
CI Image: customer logo image file
* When logo image file is uploaded, the customer’s logo appears instead of SmartLink logo on every page.
PIC Name : Company representative name
E-mail : Company representative email
Phone : Company representative telephone
Fax : Company Fax number
Address : Company Address
Time Zone: Select customer’s area time zone Time on business pages is displayed using the
selected time.
Language: Select customer language (English, Korean, Chinese) SmartLink buttons and
messages are displayed in the selected language.
Notification E-mail Service
- Customs Error : alarm receipt mail on or off for customs filing error results.
- SmartLink Transmit Error : user address for mail receipt of file transmission results if SmartLink is
used for data file transmission.
- E-Mail Address : user mail address for mail receipt.

Function Overview
User administrator manages (create and modify) user information.
Business Processing Procedure
Information of all registered users is listed.
Enter search conditions and click the Retrieve Button to search user lists.
Click Add and enter user information to create user account.
Double click user row in the search list to display detailed user information, which can be modified
here.

Use: enable/disable (If unchecked, the applicable ID cannot be used any further.)

Authority
- Company Profile : Created user has the administrator rights for Customer Profile.
- User Management : Created user has the administrator rights for User Management.
- Personal Profile : Created user has the rights for Personal Profile.
- Retrieve : Created user has the rights for data search only by service.
- Save and Transmit : Created user has the rights for data saving and transmission by service.

Function Overview
user sets their information.
user can change Password, and set Time Zone and Language.
Business Processing Procedure
Enter Personal Profile.
Choose user area Time Zone and Language.
Click Save to save data.

User ID: user ID
User Name: user name
Phone : Telephone number
E-mail: e-mail address
Time Zone: Select user’s area time zone Time in the business pages displays the selected time.
Language: Select customer language (English, Korean, Chinese) SmartLink buttons and

Password Change : if want to change password, check
Current Password : current password

1.4 Party Management (Common Service > Party Management)
Function Overview
Register using Party information as input items in customs filing.
ex) AMS Data Input: Shipper, Consignee and Notify
When registering Party information, such information as Name and Address is entered in the
Customs Filing data input page by selecting it.
Business Processing Procedure
Information on all registered Parties is listed.
Enter search conditions and click Retrieve Button to search Party list.
Click Add and enter Party information to create a Party.
Double click Party row in the search list to display detailed Party information, which can be
modified here.

Identifier No. : Identifier Number of ISF party. (Displayed only using ISF Service.)
Party Management
Click Add or double click Party row in the search list to display the page for editing or modifying
Party information. Can add and modify party information by service.
① Common items of AMS and ISF.
② Additional items of ISF Service.
Party Name: Party name
Use: enable/disable (If unchecked, the party cannot be used any further.)
Agent User can use it : If checked, Agent user can use this party information. (this check box is
shown only master company user)
Address1 : first line of party address.
Address2 : second line of party address.
City: city
State/Postal Code: State and postal zip code
Country: country
Phone: phone number
Fax: Fax number
ID Qualifier: Party ID type selection

2. Partner Company Data
Sharing
2.1 Function Overview
Freight exporters and importers wield different sets of information. If the exporter and importer
are different entities, it is necessary for them to share this information for customs filings and
effective business processing.
For example, importers are responsible to make US Customs ISF reports. However, as much of
the report data is known to exporters only, importers must obtain such data from exporters to
prepare their reports.
SmartLink permits the partner company to input, confirm, and transmit together all data for
customs filing data creation by assigning a user ID to the partner company.

2.2 Tips on Using
Master Company
[Partner Company Creation]
When a user whose ‘Use Partner Company’ column in SmartLink Registration Form is enabled by ‘Y’
logs in, the Common Service – Partner Management page appears as follows.
The SmartLink subscribed user creates a user ID for their partner company.
Can regist partner company through "New" button and add user of the partner company through
"Add" link in the "Users" column.
Master company administrator can assign rights of user information modification to partner user.
Can assign rights of data saving and transmission too.
[To View Data the Partner Company Has Entered]
The data a partner company user has entered is indicated by the partner company ID in the ‘User
ID’ column in the searched list.
The master company user can view, modify, and transmit all the data of their partner companies
have entered.

Partner Company
[Data Creation and Transmission]
The partner company user receives the ID that the master company administrator has assigned,
and logs in to SmartLink.
When creating and transmitting customs filing data, ensure the master company is selected in the
creation pages (AMS: Manifest Creation, ISF: ISF Creation).
For a single master company, default is selected.
The rest of the features are the same as those used by existing users.

3. Dashboard Dashboard page appears on login.
① Dashboards appear in tabs by services logged in user currently have in use.
② Service customs filing status is displayed: data search period can be selected.
- Set Period: select search period. Data is displayed immediately on selection.
- Document Status: shows data numbers by customs filing document states.
* Created : Customs document was created by editing or file transmission.
* Pending : Customs document was submitted to the Customs. not received response yet.
* Accepted : Normal response from the Customs Office.
* Rejected : Customs document has been rejected by U.S. Customs.
* Deleted : Customs document has deleted.
③ Customs documents list user work priority displayed by states.
④ Customs Office report results history selected B/L on ISF List displayed.
