A comprehensive proposal was received from G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development, Mohal for Ex-situ conservation measures and the work agreement for the ex-situ conservation measures has been signed with the institute.

DFO, Shamshi bas intimated that no fund has been released by CAlv1P A authority for year 2013-14 so far.

DFO, Shamshi has been again requested to submit a comprehensive proposal on the conservation of Betula Alnoides species. The proposal is still awaited.

Labours has been made aware of conservation during the celebration of Environment Day, World Water Day etc. Notice board has been placed near labour camp. Three Nos. of check post has been maintained near the project site and fifteen Nos. of Home Guards has been deployed in these check posts. The main duty of these. home guards is to check all illegal activities in the GHNP area.

Wastage has been carried out by contractor own vehicle. The process of Composting has been established by the contractor. The biodegradable waste from labour camp has been disposed off in four composting pits and later it is being used as Fertilizers to plants.
