• Transboundary Environmental Law– Broad advanced introduction to provide a common basis for all students– Environmental issues in a transboundary context, ie international, EU, comparative

and transnational law– Legal approaches to human health, air, climate, water, soil, nature and biodiversity,

chemical products and waste management etc.; and also thematic legal issues

• Cross-cutting Issues in Environmental Law– Environmental law, trade and corporate responsibility– Environmental law, climate and energy– Environmental law and human rights– Environmental law and social-ecological resilience

COURSE CONTENTS – autumn semester

• Methods, Theoriesand Practices in Environmental Law

– Theoretical, methodological and practical issues at an advanced level

– Seminars, written assignments– Comprehensive mock

negotiation– Knowledge, skills etc. from

this course useful for writing the Master thesis

• Master Thesis in Environmental Law

• Essay of ca 30-40 pages. • Relating to one of the CCI themes: – Environmental law, trade and

corporate responsibility– Environmental law, climate and

energy – Environmental law and human rights– Environmental law and social-

ecological resilience
