FINAL ASSESSMENT

Individual oral exam, short case study report elaborated in a workgroup of 4-5 students, presentation of the results of the workgroup. The mark is calculated by summing the individual grade achieved to the evaluations of the report and workgroup presentation

1.  a report on topics suggested by the teachers (1 to 10 points)

2.  the oral presentation of the report (with power point) and forum discussion (1 to 10 points)

3.  the costumary oral examination on all subjects of the course, in the ordinary sessions (from 1 to 10 points)

1+2+3= final mark

THE REPORT

•  Groups of 3-4 students (depending on the number of attending students)

•  Topics proposed by the teachers; each group expresses 2 preferences

•  To each topic corresponds a scientific referent

•  Max 12 pages

•  The (powerpoint) presentation of the report (max 10 min.) plus forum discussion (max 5 min.)

•  The final mark (report + presentation) before the oral exam

1.  The EIA procedure for a surface flow constructed wetland system

2.  Construction of a DSS using techniques like MCA, to answer the question: "Where to place a surface flow constructed wetland system in a given river basin?"

3.  GIS applied to environmental impact assessment

4.  LCA: life cycle study for an industrial product

5.  EIA applied to a proposed plant modification as a consequence of complained olfactory impacts

6.  AR: examples of application of the tools for the identification and classification of impacts according to the type of the impact
