ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND PERMITTINGEDGE understands that the environment in which we work is highly competitive, and that successful project development means pursuing aggressive schedules while managing costs. We also recognize that there are many issues beyond environmental — including engineering, constructability, ROW/Land, commercial, and stakeholder — that must be considered and addressed during project development.

At EDGE, we draw upon our extensive experience to identify the regulatory drivers early in the planning process, allowing us to help our clients understand those issues as we develop strategies that address the potential environmental issues while taking into consideration those of other project disciplines. Through this tactical approach, EDGE is able to guide our clients in effectively and efficiently navigating the permitting process so that their projects are in-service, on time and within budget. Our staff also have significant experience with programmatic approaches to environmental compliance and can help ensure your projects remain in compliance during operation.

CULTURAL RESOURCES AND PRESERVATIONIn order to streamline our client’s operations and provide turnkey environmental consulting support, EDGE provides cultural resources and preservation services to ensure project permitting is secured as soon as possible. Through our existing relationships with the State Historic Preservation Offices across the Gulf Coast, we are able to expedite processes to meet both scheduling and budgetary demands from early project planning through the development.

In the early planning stages, our experienced team conducts feasibility studies and project restraints analyses to identify any fatal flaws in existing project planning, and provides alternate preferred routing options should such a flaw be discovered. We’re also available to conduct small scale surveys and produce reports often needed to obtain permitting. As the project progresses, EDGE facilitates ongoing consultations with involved agencies, tribal entities and/or stakeholders to apprise all parties of proposed work plans and ensure they remain informed through each project milestone.

With decades of combined experience, EDGE’s in-house cultural resource specialists effectively assist our clients in meeting all the permitting and reporting requirements necessary to keep their projects moving forward.

GIS AND MAPPING SERVICESEvery project requires a mapping component to ensure feasibility, meet regulatory requirements and obtain the permitting necessary to achieve your ultimate goal. With GIS and GPS Mapping from EDGE, you gain a more accurate understanding of site features for improved planning, accelerated permitting and an enhanced understanding of what it takes to get your project off the ground and keep it moving forward.

Our team is experienced in providing custom GPS data collection solutions to assist clients in a range of industries. With up-front constraints analysis performed using GIS mapping, EDGE confirms that your proposed pipeline and facilities routing and placement are viable. Should we identify any fatal flaws — like routing through contaminated sites, endangered species habitats, wetlands and waterbodies, or areas protected due to cultural resource findings —the EDGE team will help map an alternate route so your project’s progress experiences zero to minimal delays. Along with these environmental and constructability constraints analyses, EDGE provides environmental permit figure production and field data integration as well as engineering support, so you have all the information needed to execute your project and analyze the data specific to your project for future use.
