Wizards and Templates Facilitate Routine TasksCertain tasks in your lab must be performed the same way every day.For these tasks, EnviroLab Forms offers “Wizards” and templates.Templates let you set up the framework of your batches – the itemsthat are the same from day to day, such as matrix blanks, calibrationstandards, and check standards. Using the Batch Wizard, you fill in onlythe parts that differ from day to day – sample IDs, project details, etc.Programming time is dramatically reduced, and batches are easily referenced and stored.

Smart Reporting Transforms Data Review ProcessesWhy is reporting data confined to a static process of puttinginformation on a piece of paper? ReportView in EnviroLab Forms is linked to the Data Review page.The analyst can correct a problem spot on the report to thatcompound and data file directly in active view without leavingthe report review. In many cases, you can fix the problem,go back to the report, and the changes are reflected imme-diately in the reports – no reprocessing, no re-analyzing.

Simplify Data Review and ReportingPerhaps the most important part of quantitativeanalysis is reviewing batch and sample data. DataReview in EnviroLab Forms supports the analyst’s criticalrole in this key process. Inspect sample and referencemass spectra, evaluate peak integration, review different curve fits, and observe ion ratio values –easily, and fully interactively.

Available Reporting Options

Flexible reporting options are available utilizing Microsoft® Excel® report templates.This allows rapid customer centric reportsthat are easily deployable.

Tune ReportUsing a processing method to locate the peak,the tune report automatically determines apass or fail for each ion of the specific tunecompound. Pass/Fail criteria are drawn frompertinent US EPA methods.

CalibrationReport calibration curves using AverageResponse Factor, Linear, or Quadratic fits.The report can be generated automaticallyduring the batch, or manually printed fromData Review. Using Smart Reporting, theCalibration Report can be selected from theactive Report View. Clicking the mousetakes you back to Data Review to investigatevalues of interest.

QuantitationThis standard report gives the retentiontime, quantitation mass, area count and thecalculated amount for each compound in themethod, including internal standards.

Confirmation ReportThis selection is generated compound-by-compound and is used to create a compre-hensive report that displays the calibrationcurve, reference and sample spectra, and thecalculated sample amount. Peak integrationresults for the quantitation mass and qualifying ions are displayed.High Density ReportsFor samples that may contain hundreds oftarget compounds, the High Density reportsreduce the amount of paper used and yetstill provide key results. The three reportoptions differ in terms of the number ofmasses displayed per compound. The firstreport option simply displays the integratedquantitation mass. The second report optionincludes the quantitation mass and the firstqualifying ion. The final high density reportdisplays the quantitation mass and multiplequalifying ions. Each report option includespeak integration results and calculatedamounts for each peak.

Tentatively Identified CompoundsAutomatically generate library search infor-mation for those compounds that are notpart of the quantitation processing method.A semi-quantitative amount is calculated togive estimated concentration.

LCS/LCSD – Laboratory Control Sampleand the duplicate; report the completemethod validity to a governing agency

Method Detection Limit – A statisticaldetermination of the detection limit of ananalytical method

Method – Print the method that was usedto generate the data

Method Validation – Report the deviationsthat are seen in the method from sample to sample

MS/MSD – Matrix spike and the duplicate;Report the efficiency of extractions for agiven matrix

Surrogate Recovery – Report the extractionefficiency of compounds that are spiked intoeach sample that is analyzed
