    Defending champion Heather Kampf (formerly Heather Dorniden) attended Rosemount High Schoolwhere her prep career included Minnesota Class AA state titles in the 400-meters and 800-meters. At the

    University of Minnesota, she became the most decorated Gopher women's track and field athlete in histo-

    ry as a nine-time All-American and an NCAA champion at 800-meters.

    Last month, Kampf, who represents Team USA Minnesota, notched a pair of third-place finishes at road

    mile races running 4:53.5 at the BAA Mile held in conjunctions with the Boston Marathon and 4:43 at

    the 2013 USA 1 Mile Championships held in conjunction with the Grand Blue Mile in Des Moines.

    A Winnipeg, Manitoba native, Sifuentes comes to Minnesota fresh off establishing a new personalbest for 5000-meters at 15:27.58. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Sifuentes played a keyrole in the Wolverines middle distance relay success in the late 2000s.

    Sifeuntes senior season in Ann Arbor, 2010, was her breakthrough. She was selected for the Ca-nadian 1500-meters squad at the World Indoor Championships. She also earned selection for the

    combined Americas team at the 2010 IAAF Continental Cup and won the silver medal in the 1500-meters. Sifuentes also gained selection to the Canadian team for the 2010 CommonwealthGames in Delhi, India.

    LaCaze became a social media sensation last year when she achieved a London Olympic qualifying

    mark in the 3000-meter steeplechase just days after Athletics Australia named the members for its

    Olympic team. Using Facebook and Twitter, LaCaze and her supporters (which included Australian

    Olympic Committee president) ultimately forced Athletics Australia to extend its deadline for Olympic

    qualification and the University of Florida graduate was able to race in London.

    In 2013, LaCaze has run an indoor mile in 4:41.68 and a 1500m in her native Australia in 4:15.80.She recently won the Australian 3000-meter steeplechase title.

    A former walk-on at the University of Tennessee, Wright has established herself as a member of theelite ranks of American middle distance runners. The former NCAA champion won a USA title atthe 2011 USA Indoor Championship.

    Know mainly as an 800m runner, Wright broke the 2-minute barrier for the first time in Eugene, Ore.

    at the 2010 Prefontaine Classic with a career-best time of 1:58.22. She ended her season with hersecond consecutive third-place finish at the USA Outdoor Championship (09, 10). At Tennessee,Wright capped off her senior season with wins at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor champs. Wrightwas also a five-time SEC championthree times in the 800-meters and twice in the Distance Med-ley Relay.

    Cheever, Minneapolis native and a graduate of Southwest High School and the University of Minne-

    sota, will step to the Nicollet Mall start line on the heels of a breakthrough steeplechase perfor-

    mance at the Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif in late April. There, Cheever battled U.S.Olympian Emma Coburn and scored a 22-second personal best, running 9:29.13. Remarkably,

    Cheever is now the 5th-fastest womens steeplechaser in American history.

    After a breakthrough season in 2010 when the Team USA Minnesota athlete finished 4th in theUSA 5K and USA 10 Mile Championships Meghan Peyton (formerly Armstrong) confirmed herstatus as a national-class runner in 2011. The Iowa alumnus finished in the top ten in five USAChampionship races ranging in distance from the mile to 20K.

    In 2012, Peyton finished 6th at the Medtronic TC 1 Mile and 9th at the Medtronic TC 10 Mile. Afterthis years Medtronic TC 1 Mile, Peyton will have run the event five times.

    In college, Miller was known for her skill on the track and in the classroom.     At the 2010 Medtronic TC 1 Mile, Brown met her husband Darren, who was a racer that year in themens professional field.

    the mile earlier this year indoors. Last month, he established a new personal best for himself at

    5000-meters by running 13:35.51.

    In recent road miles, Miller finished third at the USA 1 Mile Championships in Des Moines, running

    4:03. He was 7th at the BAA Mile in Boston, held in conjunction with the Boston Marathon.
