Entrepreneurship 101

Entrepreneurship 101 sessions:

This is a series of sensitization sessions, which introduces youth to entrepreneurship as a viable employment option. The NYS conducts quarterly workshops in communities and parish offices across the island.

The goal of the session is to introduce the participants to elements of entrepreneurship with the hope of stimulating an interest in self-employment and self-development.

Established in 1973, the National Youth Service (NYS) aims to equip youth with the necessary life coping skills to foster their personal and career development as well as enhance their contribution to community and national development.

The objectives of the NYS are:

• To train youth within the 17 - 24 age cohort in practical services.

• To provide participants with employability skills and training needed to function in the world of work.

• To build and maintain robust relationships with community stakeholders.
