Student Transportation• Presently, the district provides 100% bus transportation free of charge.

• Open enrolled students are responsible for their own transportation to and from school.

• Routes are based upon number of riders.

During the fall of 2007, the district contracted ManagementPartnership Services (MPS) to give an outside evaluation of the transportation department. MPS recommended the district:

•Continue with in-house services

•Consider walk zones with reasonable walk distance policies

• Consider bell time changes in afternoon to improve services

•Develop and support a realistic fleet replacement schedule
