How this works:• Based on your CRT’s last year, you will be assigned to:– Concept Mastery (CRT Prep) during Enrichment time – Math Lab during your regular A/B class schedule

• Concept Mastery means that you go to Math, English or Science for a full term during Concept Mastery/Enrichment time.

• If you show progress, you may be able to test out at the end of the term and at that time join an enrichment class.

Concept Mastery Classes

• Monday is Math Concept Mastery Class.

• Tuesday is English Concept Mastery Class.

• Wednesday is Science Concept Mastery Class.

• Your schedule will already show which Concept Mastery classes you need to take.

Enrichment Classes

• You will be able to choose enrichment classes on days you are not assigned to take Concept Mastery classes.• Every teacher who is not teaching a

Concept Mastery class will be teaching an Enrichment class.

This Thursday is sign-up day!

• Sign up means that you will go to your selected Enrichment choices and get your student card stamped by that teacher.

• Since your first choice might be full, please select three enrichment classes you would like to take for each available day.

• The next slides show your Enrichment choices.

How to Sign Up

• Each student will receive a schedule card.• Concept Mastery classes will already be listed

on the card.• Students will choose Enrichment classes for

the days they are not in Concept Mastery classes.

• Your Mustang Room teacher will have a copy of the enrichment schedule so you can see what is available.

How to Sign up (continued)

• Enrichment classes are limited to apx. 20 students.• The classes last for 4 weeks. You may not

change classes during that 4 week period.• You must have a different Enrichment

class for each day of the week that you are able to take these classes.

• Select the enrichment class you wish to take.

• Get your schedule card stamped by the teacher who teaches the class and sign your name on the teacher’s sign-up sheet.

• Keep your schedule card in the front of your binder face up in the first sheet protector.

Concept Mastery Classes last for 1 term.

Enrichment classes last for 4 weeks.• At the end of the 4 week period, you will get a

new student schedule card to sign up for new Enrichment classes.

• Next we will show you an example of a student schedule card.

What to do with your schedule card

• Keep completed student schedule in your binder.

• Put it in the front of your binder in the first sheet protector face up.

• It should be the first page you see when you open your binder.

What about Thursdays?

• Concept Mastery and Enrichment classes are on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

• On Thursday, you will have Grade Improvement classes.

• If you are not passing your regular schedule classes with a C or higher, your teachers can sign you up for Grade Improvement classes on Thursday.

Round-up Rooms

• You will have 3 minutes to get from your Mustang Room to your Concept Mastery or Enrichment class.

• Students who do not make it to the assigned class will be taken to a Round-up room.

• Teachers in these rooms will help you to understand the schedule if you are having problems. Consequences will also be given as needed.
