Program Schedule:Most programs will start the week of October 24th and runthrough the week of December 12th. If there is an earlyrelease/no school day, there will be no afterschool classes.These “No Class” days are figured into the price of eachclass. If a class is cancelled due to instructor absence, therewill be a make-up class offered, and if that is not an option,a refund will be issued.

Refund Policy:It is the policy of Seattle Parks and Recreation and theAssociated Recreation Council that:- Anyone who registers for a class, special event or

program that is cancelled for any reason will receive a fullrefund.- Anyone who registers for a class, special event, or

program, and who requests a refund 14 days or more prior to the program start date may receive a refund minusa service charge of $5 or 10% of the class fee (whichever isgreater).- Anyone who registers for a class, special event, or

program, and who withdraws from the activity less than 14days before its start date will receive no refund. (Thosewishing to withdraw prior to the start of the 3 rd session of aclass due to dissatisfaction, misunderstandings, etc., may

be eligible for a partial refund.)

Contacting Enrichment on Alki Staff:The Recreational Programs Administrator, who is locatedon-site at Alki Elementary everyday afterschool, can bereached through their work phone at (206) 790-6659 or atthe email address: [email protected]. Billingquestions primarily go through Alki Community Center at(206) 684-7430. Both the Community Center and theProgram Administrator are in contact daily, workingtogether to make sure the program runs smoothly.

OH NO! My class got cancelled!Most programs require a minimum of 4-6 participants inorder to make them financially sustainable. We do our bestnot to cancel classes and we will often delay the start of a

program in order to reach the minimum numbers for enrollment, but there is no guarantee. Please register early!

Registration and Payments: Registration Has Begun! If you have never participated in a Parks and Recreationsponsored program, signing up at Alki CommunityCenter would be ideal as they have to create an accountfor your family. Once that is established, you may callthe Community Center, stop by, or pay on-line throughSPARC. Remember : All families will need to completea Medical Authorization E-13, Behavior Contract, andOff-Site Permission Slip prior to participating in any

Enrichment on Alki program.

Who Can Register:All classes are open first to Alki Elementary School

families as well as children in the broader West Seattlecommunity. Seattle Parks and Recreation operatesactivities which are open to anyone interested in

participating, regardless of the school they attend.

Financial Assistance:The Alki Advisory Council offers scholarships up to50% of the class fee as funds are available for mostclasses. A Scholarship Application must be submitted for approval prior to receiving any discounted or reducedfees for a class. Full payment must be received if ascholarship request is pending in order for your child to

participate. Unfortunately, we cannot take partial payments for any of our programs.
