Top Ten Tips for Good Sleep Patterns

This week I am including the second five of the Top Ten Sleep Story Books. Do see page 2 and

remember that last week’s newsletter had the first five.

Secret Beach

Please be aware that we have been told about some dangerous litter on a “secret beach” behind the

cemetery in Kingston Road. The dangerous items have now been completely cleared up and the area

is going to be monitored. However, this is not a safe place for children to be - the only way to it is by

climbing over a wall, it is not supposed to be open to the

public. Meanwhile, please talk to your children about staying

safe and if they see anything they are unsure of, not to pick it

up but to tell a grown up. The police are aware. We have also

told the children they should not visit anywhere without telling

their parents where they are going.

Currently our whole school

attendance stands at 96.57%.

Remember that good attendance will help

your child to succeed at school.

This week 2JC achieved 100%

attendance! Wow! Well done!

Thank you for your support.

QUEENSGATE SPORT

ROUNDUP

Well done to the Swimathon team who took part in the

Sandown/Shanklin Lions Charity

event; a huge £234 was raised –

thanks to all who contributed.

The Year 5 Waterborne group

had their third session at UKSA; this time it was paddle boarding.

There were some great skills being demonstrated in near

perfect weather conditions.

The cricket season has started; the U-11 Girls took on Dover Park twice, as one school did not turn up. In the first game, Dover Park scored 233 for 3 and in reply,

Queensgate scored 237 - 2, so a narrow 4 run win. In the second game, Dover Park

scored 245 - 2 whilst Queensgate scored 275 - 0 to win by 30 runs. Well done team!

Please keep collecting Sainsbury’s active vouchers. Thank you very much.

Best wishes,

Samantha Sillito
