We use the (be) in the past simple to describe events that took place in the

past without an object.

Spelling rules for regularVerbs in the past simple:

1)If the verbs ends with (e),we add (d).Examples : dance danced

Chase chased 2)If the verb ends with c,v,c we double the last letter

and add (ed). Example : stop stopped

3)If the verbs ends with a consonant we delete and add (ied).

Example : cry cried Study studied
