ONLY PAY FOR WHAT YOU USE

The T Comm Telematics system can be expanded modularly, which means you pay only for what you use. If your company changes or grows, you will be able to adapt and expand your systems accordingly.

The base unit receives real-time information from wireless sensors 24/7 and communicates with the online web portal via GPRS. The base unit is a sturdy box that receives data wirelessly from unique sensors and forwards it to the web portal via GPRS, enabling you to track the location and condition of your load, anywhere in the world. The web portal doesn’t require you to purchase any extra hardware, employ any specialists or invest in maintenance or management.

The data recorded is saved in a central location and can always be accessed, from anywhere. You can easily create different users with different rights and even authorise your customer to check the load’s location on the web portal. Our core value of ‘Easy Intelligence’ applies here, too, as you are only shown the information that is useful to you. What’s more, the use of standard application interfacing (API) makes it possible to integrate our systems for purposes such as quality control or planning.

IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION

If the values recorded, such as temperature and fuel level, are outside the pre-set range, the system will send out a warning by e-mail and/or text message to the person responsible. This enables you to immediately intervene in the event of emergencies and thus avoid high costs. You will be able to show proof that the goods have been transported under the correct conditions. Any doubts your customer has about the conditions during transit can be allayed on the spot, enabling you to avoid lengthy discussions. You can provide your customer this data immediately after the journey, so you can avoid any possible claims.

OTA (over-the-air) updates allow all T Comm Telematics customers to make direct use of the latest updates made to the system. These are automatically integrated into the system via its wireless connection, which means that trucks don’t need to return to ‘base’ for a physical update and can simply continue on their journey.

CLEAR TRAILER DATA AT A GLANCE

Having insight into the location of your trailers is important for efficient trailer planning. The T Comm Telematics system gives you clear information on all your trailers and the location of your valuable loads at a glance.

A real-time overview of the trailer locations makes it possible to plan routes very accurately and thus optimise your fleet. More efficient route planning prevents unnecessary kilometres and therefore reduces fuel consumption.

PROACTIVELY COMMUNICATE PRECISE DATA

Real-time insight into trailer data always offers you immediate proof of timely and correct deliveries and enables you to proactively communicate exact delivery times to your customers and anticipate deviations.

OPTIMAL TRAILER PLANNING

Overview of locations in one single screen

Wireless ID sensors provide insight into which trailer is connected to which truck and which of your employees or which charter is en route with which trailer. By connecting truck ID sensors to your trailer, you can prevent unauthorised individuals from disconnecting your trailer and valuable load and taking it unnoticed.

Should an emergency shipment request be made, you can easily see which driver is in the area to possibly collect its load. This will improve the efficiency of your planning and enable you to serve your customers more easily.

Relatively small variations in temperature can have a huge impact on the quality and value of fresh products. Real-time monitoring of your load enables you to intervene in time and prevent spoiling.

T Comm Telematics registers temperature patterns during temperature-controlled transportation. The wireless temperature sensors provide real-time insight into the ambient temperature of your goods in transit and send the recorded values to the base unit every minute. The base unit sends the data to the server every ten minutes. As soon as the temperature moves outside the specified range, the system (if desired) sends out a warning notification by e-mail and/or text message to the person responsible. A temperature report of all the recorded values can easily be printed off via the web portal, according to the HACCP regulations, without the need to record these values manually.

GUARANTEE TRANSPORT CONDITIONS WITH REAL-TIME TEMPERATURE REGISTRATION

Overview of exact temperatures in the cargo area per trailer and a temperature graph of the last 48 hours

The system can be connected to existing temperature recorders of large refrigeration system manufacturers, so that the thermostat setting and refrigeration unit’s running hours can be read.

ADDED VALUE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS

Real-time monitoring gives you permanent insight into the temperature patterns throughout the entire journey and enables you to show proof that the goods have been transported under the correct conditions. This will make you a reliable partner, in turn enabling your customers to satisfy all the strict requirements they need to meet.

The T Comm Telematics system provides insight not only into the location of your trailers, but also into their condition. It shows, for example, when a truck’s next MOT, service or STEK test is planned; how many diesel hours the refrigeration system has run for and the tyre pressure of each individual tyre. You can also receive a renewal warning when the truck’s brake pads have worn out.

CONTINUOUS TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING

The tyre pressure sensor gives you continuous insight into the tyre pressure of all the tyres on your fleet, at a glance. Via the web application, the T Comm Telematics tyre pressure sensor enables transport companies to continuously monitor the pressure in the tyres on all of the trucks in their fleet. The sensor shows the exact tyre pressure of each tyre and if this drops below a pre-set level, a warning notification is (if desired) sent out by e-mail and/or text message and either the driver of the vehicle or the fleet manager can then ensure that the right tyre is topped up to the correct level again.

Maintaining the correct tyre pressure increases fuel efficiency, reduces carbon dioxide emissions, improves road safety and extends the lifespan of tyres.

SPECIFICATIONS FUEL-LEVEL SENSORS

PROTECT YOUR REFRIGERATION TRAILERS AGAINST FUEL THEFT

Fuel theft is a growing problem in the transport sector. Valuable fuel is stolen from refrigeration motors on refrigeration trailers, which is costly and causes damage to vehicles. T Comm Telematics has developed a wireless fuel-level sensor for refrigeration trailers that protects them against this type of theft.

When a trailer is stationary, the sensor accurately records the amount of fuel in the tank. If the level drops significantly within a short period of time, the person responsible receives a warning notification by text message and/or e-mail. This wireless fuel theft prevention system enables the people at the office to seehow much fuel is in, and goes out of, the tank. Theft can therefore be detected quickly, allowing you to take immediate action.

You will receive a warning as soon as the fuel in the tank reaches the reserve level, so that you know when it needs to be replenished.

MOOY LOGISTICS

Willem Zonnevijlle, director of Mooy Logistics: “Quality is extremely important for us and our clients. We transport delicate products such as fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants. These types of products are extremely sensitive to the conditions in which they are transported. It is therefore important to us to have insight into these conditions. With the T Comm Telematics system we can see at a glance whether everything is under control. Moreover, we receive alarms if certain values are not in order. This is how we can guarantee our high quality.”

JONKER & SCHUT

Erik Schut, Director at Jonker en Schut: “We are a quality-conscious organisation. We relieve our clients of their concerns by directing and monitoring the entire logistics process on their behalf. In order to streamline that process even better, it is important that we know where our vehicles are at all times of day. With the T Comm Telematics vehicle tracking systems our planners can now see the locations of our vehicles at a glance, and this means that we are able to respond rapidly to the wishes of our principals”.

HEIPLOEG

Rudie de Vries, responsible for Logistics Heiploeg Group : “We strive to achieve a con-stantly high product quality. With the T Comm Telematics systems, the logistics manager can optimise the runs and the temperature in all trailers is simultaneously continuously checked. The planning department is immediately notified if temperatures are exceeded. This makes it possible to deliver the highest possible quality. With this system we create our HACCP reports with the push of a button. Moreover, some of our charters are fitted with Truck ID sensors, so that we can see which truck is pulling which trailer.”

H.Z. TRANSPORT GROUP

Hans Zuiderwijk, director of H.Z. Transport Group: “With realtime monitoring of T Comm Telematics we always have insight in temperatures, door openings, trailer-ID’s and fuel levels of all trailers and containers. We get notified if temperatures are exceeded or doors are opened without permission, so immediate action can be taken. We have so much more control over our units now, without more man power. This system is going to save us a lot of money on an annual basis.”

AMEX LOGISTICS

Jaap Wisse, director of Amex Logistics: : “We are specialized in cooling and deep- freeze transportation. We can transport any goods with a temperature between -30° and +30°. The T Comm Telematics systems give simple insight into factors including the temperatures of all of the trucks. The temperatures in the trailers are constantly checked and we are notified if any temperature limits are exceeded. This makes it possible for us to deliver the highest possible quality for our clients. Our clients can now easily remotely check that we are transporting the products at the correct temperatures. This works much faster and more efficiently for us and our clients.”

AMERONGEN KAMPHUIS

Jan Kamphuis, General Director of Amerongen Kamphuis: : “Quality is the highest priority for us and for our customers. When transporting temperature-sensitive pro-ducts, an insight into the transport conditions is essential. Increasingly our customers are asking for this insight and T Comm Telematics’ systems allow us to provide this quickly and easily. We are able to provide our customers with a temperature report immediately after a trip, thereby maintaining our high level of service.”

ZIJERVELD/FRIESLAND CAMPINA

Fred de Greef, logistics manager at Zijerveld: “Every day, we transport large quantities of valuable, temperature-sensitive products for our principals. The increasing attention to food safety has prompted our clients to require more and more insight into the cold chain. The correct temperature of cheese is a delicate issue, certainly with raw milk products. Our products are sensitive to the listeria bacteria, and this is dangerous for pregnant women and the elderly. Maintaining constant supervision of the temperatures means that we prevent bacteria from getting a chance.”

KOTRA LOGISTICS

Jaap Wolfert, responsible for the Kotra Logistics fleet: “Quality is very important for us and our customers. We transport valuable, fresh products and it is essentially impor-tant for us to have continuous insight into the transportation conditions of our fish products. The T Comm Telematics system has simplified our trailer management. We can see whether everything is under control at a glance. If the temperature in a trailer increases we are notified straight away. This gives us complete control over our cooled transport and enables us to provide our customers with temperature fluctuation reports immediately.”
