PRESENT CONTINUOUS

(Affirmative – Interrogative – Negative)

You must use the verb TO BE (am/is/are)and any other verb with –ING (gerund)

Aff.- The Police are looking for Professor X.

Int.- Is the Queen’s crown missing from Buckingham Palace?

Neg.- Professor X isn’t sitting in the café opposite the Tower of London.

3. Remember THE STORY ! Underline Present Continuous Sentences.

The Queen’s crown is missing from Buckingham Palace. The Police are looking for Professor X.People are calling the police because they want to help.

First, Inspector Zed tells Kay to go to the bus stop, near the British Museum because she thinks Professor X is there.But Professor X isn’t there. There’s a young lady at the bus stop.

Then, Inspector Zed tells Kay to go to Green Park but Professor X isn’t there. There’s an old man on the bench under the tree.

After that, Inspector Zed tells Kay to go to the café opposite the Tower of London but Professor X isn’t there. There’s a tourist in the café.

Finally, Inspector Zed tells Kay to go to the Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. Inspector Kay stops between Big Ben and Westminster Bridge. He is helping an old lady with a pram BUT ... it isn’t an old lady!It’s Professor X and the Queen’s crown is in the pram!
