5-6” sidewalks (both sides) Horizontal alignment will soften curves through

Main St intersection and remove pinch point Vertical profile to mimic existing to limit impacts




US Route 202 Retaining wall reconstruction (550’ +/-) on west

Canal Existing Condition

Brief inspection December 2010 Overall condition is poor Several of top granite slabs are broken Stabilize to prevent further sinkholes or damage to

structures, roadways or private property above canal




Transcript Dam (HOW MUCH DAM DISCUSSION NEEDED??) Constructed circa 1925 Served as part of infrastructure for Transcript

Printing Company (1925 to 1942) No hydraulic/commercial purpose since 1942 Consists of timber cribbing and stone with a

concrete cap Removal of some/all good trade-off

Utility Coordination Overhead utility relocation prior to start of bridge
