Reflection paper: Office Space

After watching this movie, I just overlooked my future self working on this toxic environment. I think of myself as Peter Gibbons and what response/actions Ill have if my boss (Bill Lumbergh) pressuring me on my work. Should I resign or fight for my rights. When those things happen and they will be hiring consultant for the interview, my response would be fight for my rights; Ill tell them that their something wrong with the management and as from the movie it works. This movie also reflects to my student life. From some instance like having a group project some member of the group didnt feel like working because the appointed leader asking too much, too demanding and they feel pressured. So the action done was talking to him, take things a little bit lightly and divide the works to everyone.

1. What kind of employee is Peter Gibbons? On my opinion Peter Gibbons is good employee but due to some factors he hates his job2. What are the factors that affect Peter's attitude and behaviour towards work? Lack of motivation and his frustration of having to answer to seven levels of management3. What kind of manager is Bill Lumbergh. A manager that everybody would hate because of his attitude toward his subordinates4. How does he influence the performance of his subordinates? - Bill Lumbergh influence the performance of his subordinate by arrogantly asking them what should do.5. What do you recommend in order to attain a better management in the office, as seen on the movie?- I recommend to have a manager who can motivate his subordinate.- Lessen the manager on that office.
