Who is DP World Southampton?

DP World Southampton is the UK’s number one performing container terminal for productivity and service. DP World Southampton is one of two terminals owned and operated by DP World in the UK including DP World London Gateway, on the River Thames estuary.

What are we looking for?

A natural ability in craft skills.

Someone who likes a challenge.

Someone who has achieved or expects to achieve 5 GCSEs, grade C or above in English, maths and at least one science based subject.

What are we offering?

A four year Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance to become a qualified multi-skilled technician. In addition, you will be trained in all aspects of engineering including welding and machining. Starting with off the job training at Southampton Engineering Teaching Association (SETA) to develop basic engineering skills and day release with Fareham's Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training, CEMAST. You will receive a planned training and development programme within the various DP World Southampton engineering and support departments, giving you the opportunity to develop the required skills to complete your NVQ Level 3.
