BM Silo

Description

BM Silo’s well-known “Modular silo” was first launched in the 1970s,and despite its many variants today, the same principle continues as thebasis of products to this very day. They have exported silos since 1972.The “Kit-form” packaging means that the silos are ideally suited for exportand some 80% of turnover is exported.

The knowledge gained through world-wide dealer network is used todevelop, enhance and expand the product range. The productionpremises, located in a previous farm building, appear up-to-date andappealing with the latest equipment in CNC machinery and LEANproduction. JUST-IN-TIME production allows BM Silo to provide extremeflexibility in terms of delivery times and product mixes.

Agrosilo

BM Agrosilo is the “kid brother” of the Modular silo renowned for itssuperior quality for decades. The silo itself remains unchanged, but theoptimised leg structure and the bottom cone without partition wall offer twoobvious advantages - lower cost and shorter assembly time.

Mineral Silo

Mineral Silo is a square, modular silo designed for the storage of dryminerals. For decades, the silos have been known for their very highquality.

Outdoor Modular Silo

Outdoor Modular silo is a square, modular built silo for storage of drymaterials. All of the silo’s side panels have external flanges withdownfolded edges that seals the horizontal joints. The flanges and theheavy duty rubber filler strips ensure that the silo is completely sealed.The silo is dimensioned for a basic wind speed of Vb = 27 m/s in terraincategory II, and a snow load of Sk = 0,9 kN/m².

Round Steel Silo

Round steel silo is made of aluzinc plates which are high quality platesthat combine the best properties of aluminium and zinc. Tests show thatthis type of plate has a considerably longer service life than galvanisedplate. Delivered fully assembled from the factory or unassembled forexport.

Outdoor Wooden Pellet Silo

Outdoor wood pellet silo is a square, modular silo designed for thestorage of dry materials. All side plates of the silo have exterior flangeswith bent-down edges which close the horizontal joint. With the enclosedsealant, this ensures that the silo can be made perfectly tight.

Mobile Hopper

Mobile Hopper has been developed specifically to store granulate inthe plastics industry. With the wheels, moving the materials in productionas required is easy.

Description

Fox Valve manufactures venturi eductors, ejectors, and venturi flowcontrols for industry, including solids-conveying eductors, air ejectors,steam ejectors, liquid eductors, and multi-stage vacuum systems. Fox hassupplied these products to industry, aerospace, and research since 1961.

Solids Conveying Eductors

Venturi eductors for use in transporting powders, pellets, and bulksolids, typically using motive pressures under 14 psig. Fox providescomplete venturi transport systems, including blowers, valves, receivers,etc.

Fox Venturi Eductors - What are they?

Fox Venturi Eductors convert the output of a blower into suction thatcan be used to entrain and feed powders, pellets, and bulk solids into apneumatic conveying system. Because they have no moving parts, theycan operate almost entirely maintenance-free. The eductor acts tocompress the air/solids mixture to a pressure adequate to overcomelosses in the downstream convey line.

How are they used in pneumatic conveying systems?

Fox Venturi Eductors are used to feed bulk solids, such as powders,pellets, flakes, and particulates, into positive, dilute-phase conveyingsystems. They are commonly used in place of rotary valves whereairlocks simply cannot perform adequately.

Why are eductors used in pneumatic conveying systems?

Fox Venturi Eductors have No Moving Parts - allowing for maintenance-free feeding of bulk solids. In applications involving fine, abrasive, orirregularly-shaped products, this is an enormous advantage. Replacementof existing rotary airlocks with venturi eductors makes for simpler, morereliable conveying systems. Designing with eductors from the beginningensures the most reliable product feeding available.No Blowback - All rotary airlocks have blowback. If the product conveyedis fine or abrasive, blowback can cause extreme wear problems. Even withfree-flowing products, blowback can be a problem, causing bridging andhousekeeping problems, or even an explosion hazard. When installedbeneath baghouses, screw conveyors, or dust collectors, airlocks can be amajor source of fugitive dust emissions, which are eliminated after aretrofit to Fox eductors.No mechanical shearing - Eductors minimize the shearing, smearing ordegradation of product common with rotary airlocks. And, of course,safety is simply not a concern with Fox eductors.

PurgeX® is a mechanical purging agent that enables the safe,effective and efficient cleaning of plastics processing equipment.

Metal surfaces are cleaned using a unique scrubbing effect. The materialis not abrasive to screw, barrel, die etc.Particularly useful when changing colour, polymer, or when screw andbarrel are carbonized. Enables rapid purging of the previous colour and/orpolymer, so that machine downtime and loss of expensive polymer isminimized.Suitable for injection moulding, extrusion and blow moulding processes.Cost effective, as only a small amount is required, usually at 20% addrate to the polymer.

How PurgeX® works

PurgeX® is a granular material that is blended in with a small amountof the polymer that you are using and fed into a starved screw/barrel.

The blended material is processed through your equipment at similartemperatures and revs to typical run conditions for the carrier polymer.

The PurgeX® material softens slightly, but does not melt, andthoroughly loosens carbonized and degraded resin, allowing the polymerto flush out the system.

This makes it particularly useful for:

Cleaning colour from your equipmentCleaning polymer from your equipmentRemoving carbon build-up and black specksRegular preventative maintenanceBefore manual cleaning

PurgeX® grades

PurgeX® T for injection moulding (except where openings are less than1.5mm)PurgeX® S for extrusion, blow moulding, and injection moulding withopenings less than 1.5mmPurgeX® R for hot runner systems with a minimum clearance of 0.75mm

PurgeX® A (acrylic) grade

PurgeX® A is cell cast acrylic in granular form. As distinct from the T, Sand R grades, PurgeX®A grade is typically used in unblended form (i.e. at100%) in extrusion and compounding processes.

PurgeX® A provides a gentle scrubbing effect to the screw and barreland removes build up of carbonised material.

PurgeX® A softens but does not melt, therefore it provides a scrubbingeffect – it does not scratch or wear the screw or barrel.

Suggested purging procedure:

Adjust temperature if necessary. Suggested temperature range forpurging is 240-260°C.Starve screw and barrel of current material.Add PurgeX® A in slow, continuous manner into hopper.Flush out PurgeX® A with next material to be processed.

Nozzles, dies and screen packs should be removed during purging toavoid blockages unless opening is large enough to allow acrylic particlesto pass through in softened form (approx 2.0-2.5mm).

Aeration Pad

Description

The aeration pad is an aeration device used to promote the flow of drybulk powders from a storage vessel. It operates by continuouslyintroducing air into the body of the dry powder.

When a powder is first conveyed into a storage vessel it is actually ahighly aerated mixture of air and particulate. In this state the mixture flowsquite readily. However, as the powder settles the solid particulate and airseparate resulting in a decrease in volume and an increase in bulkdensity. In this deaerated state powders can behave more like a singlelarge solid structure rather than a fluid-like mixture. By replacing thenaturally lost air, the air to particulate mixture ratio is held thus maintainingthe fluid like characteristic of the aerated powder.

Cone Mill

Cone granulation mills are gentle, low energy size reduction mills idealfor fatty, heat sensitive, sticky, moist or fragile products. They alleviatetraditional milling problems of noise, dust and heat generation and areideal for use in food and pharmaceutical applications.

A number of different grinding media and drive arrangements areavailable for our cone granulation mills. This enables us to satisfyindividual process, operational, cleaning and installation requirements.

Universal mill

Fine grinding Universal mills are designed and constructed for highperformance, robustness, easy maintenance and safety in use.

Construction of our grinding mills can be of carbon or stainless steeland, where required, can be designed to withstand over pressuresituations of up to 10 Bar. Ultrasonic Screens

The Ultrasonic screen’s generator converts electrical energy into high-frequency energy which is then converted to mechanical energy by theconverter.

The sound waves cause the screen frame or sound conductor tooscillate at high-frequencies. These oscillations are transferred to thescreening cloth where they are evenly distributed. The oscillations of thescreening cloth reduce the frictional resistance between the grains and thescreen. This reduces the tendency towards blockage, resulting inincreased throughput.

How it works

This granular material is blended in with a small amount of the polymerthat you are using and fed into a starved screw/barrel. The blendedmaterial is processed through your equipment at similar temperatures andrevs to typical run conditions for the carrier polymer. The material softensslightly, but does not melt, and thoroughly loosens carbonized anddegraded resin, allowing the polymer to flush out the system.
