What is a professional network?

• Professional networking is simply networking focused on professional goals.

• People trust preferentially people they know already, either directly or through another trusted person. This means that gaining that trust with new people is much easier when you have a strong network.

• A strong network is where you have connections in all of your areas of interest with people who know who you are and what you want.

• In practical terms you build this network by getting to know more people, building trust with them and telling them what you are looking for.
