Conflict with communities can cause reputational damage and cost millions of dollars in project delays or the complete abandonment of a resources or infrastructure project.

Voconiq is a science-based solution that provides tangible social insights to support constructive relationships between communities and organisations around the world.

We’re changing the way that industry engages with the communities in which they operate, to build greater trust and mitigate corporate risk.

Developed over 10 years within Australia’s leading science agency, CSIRO, our proven research model and data platform track real world data, gathered over time, to understand community sentiment. It’s an end-to-end software and community engagement solution, using contextually appropriate data collection methods to stream survey data into a secure web platform for our customers in real time.

Our data modelling and analytics identify those factors that drive trust and acceptance, enabling companies to prioritise investment of resources and energy into the issues that matter most to their community relationships.

Where there is trust in the relationship between

community and company, anything feels possible.

When trust is lost, everything is hard.

GIVING COMMUNITIES VOICE

We believe all voices matter and provide an independent platform for communities that often don’t have a voice.

Voconiq gives communities the opportunity to express their views and experiences with industry or organisations in their local area in a confidential, safe space that is easily accessed. We collect data in a number of ways from global through to local neighbourhoods often using mobile technologies, face to face data collection, and online tools so information can be communicated in close to real time.

From the local to the global, we enable two-way

dialogue for more productive outcomes - giving

communities a voice and companies valuable insights.

National Citizen Surveys

At a national, state or regional scale, understanding broader community sentiment about what leads to deeper trust and acceptance of an industry is fundamental to meeting community expectations now and in the future. This work provides benchmark data for local community engagement, national comparisons over time and across jurisdictions, and clear pathways to industry sustainability.

Voconiq Local Voices

This program is designed to capture a full spectrum of opinion at a grassroots level. We conduct a detailed Anchor Survey (or baseline) and then track the significant trust drivers in brief monthly, quarterly, or six-monthly Pulse Surveys, which can be completed online, on mobile, or through brief phone interviews.

And every survey can help earn money for local not-for-profit groups through the Voconiq Local Voices Community Reward Program. Every time a survey is completed, community members can assign a donation to one or more community groups registered with Voconiq Local Voices in their area.

Voconiq First Voices

Similar to Local Voices, this unique community engagement program is designed to work with First Nation and Indigenous Peoples who often live in remote areas. Voconiq is working to change the conversation by supporting First Nation and Indigenous Peoples to be heard.

External Data

We are able to access and combine data from external sources to enrich insights.

HELPING INDUSTRY

Our proven data analytic models and platform aggregate and analyse survey data to provide actionable insights in real time and over time. By understanding the drivers of trust and acceptance of a company or industry, we define pathways to deeper, more productive relationships with communities.

This ability to measure community sentiment systematically and objectively ensures that social engagement activities can be assessed and evaluated much more rigorously. Any areas of concern, such as contact quality/quantity, economic opportunity, employment, and health and environment, can be investigated and resourced to mitigate identified risk. Voconiq can provide answers to questions such as:

• Are my social investments achieving their objectives, and if not, why not?

• How can we assess the performance of mycommunity engagement approaches across thewhole organisation?

• Why was that investment or initiative a success atthis site and not at another?

• How do we make our existing social spend moreeffective and know that it is building trust? How dowe get our headquarters a more objective andtransparent view of social performance at eachof our sites?

This real-time quantitative social performance data, reported via streamed interactive dashboards and reports, means companies can stop fighting fires and start realising the potential in their local relationships.

Insights are available in a number of ways:

One Voice

Our aggregator technology can provide insights across multiple locations or industries as required as part of a specific research program or by subscription.

Voconiq Local Voices

Survey reports provided for each Anchor and Pulse survey are shared with the community in public forums and online. Data from surveys across multiple communities can also be aggregated to form a complete enterprise level picture.

Voconiq First Voices

Reporting is available as per the Local Voices program, however, Indigenous groups own their data and are able to licence the program and use their data independently.

API (Application Programming Interface)

Our technology enables API connection to direct stream selected data to inform industry on a macro level and at a company level via Microsoft PowerBI interfaces.
