Danish partner company IBM, Denmark will share insights on big data and smarter cities. Examining the case of partner company IBM, students will design and deliver a project to harness big data toward solving an urban mobility challenge. Student grand TBD BEIJING-COPENHAGEN URBAN CHALLENGE July 18th – August 12th 2016 Co-create solutions addressing CO2 emissions to create climate wealth across technology and business. Based on cases, students will examine how to manage existing environmental issues in China and Denmark and establish future sustainable business models. Student grand TBD ROME-COPENHAGEN URBAN CHALLENGE August 22nd – September 16th 2016 Undertake a comparative study of urban farming and gardening in Rome and Copenhagen, in collaboration with the Sapienza University of Rome. The Danish SME UIWE is the case company in this urban challenge. Student grant 275 Time — All Urban Challenge courses are offered in the summer and fall 2016. The Urban Challenge Programme is supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. As an interdisciplinary, cross-institutional, cross-cultural higher education programme, the Urban Challenge Programme facilitates the exchange of knowledge, experience, and ideas for urban sustainability across cities and countries. Each programme is structured as a 7.5 ECTS accredited, project-based intensive and four-week comparative exchange course in Copenhagen and one of the seven partner cities.
