Nowadays the workplace, together with home, is the location where people spend most of their time. Trying to make the place where people work more welcoming and efficient would be a useful choice not only for employees, but also for businesses. In fact, nowadays a lot of people find it hard to get used to their workplaces. That is why they start disliking. I was asked to write a proposal for an ideal workplace and I conducted a survey on the subject. Obviously, everybody has a different preference for their desired workplace. Taking the results of research into account, I can come to the conclusion that some employees’ greatest concerns are concentration, rules and office environment. Most people declared that they are easily distracted by noise, be it other people’s conversation or a mobile phone and it is difficult for employees to maintain it if they are not obliged to do so. Finally, regarding the rules and office environment, it is clear that many of them can’t stand spending the working day in a dreary cramped office. The ideal workplace should meet the following features: There should be a possibility for everyone to make their own choice between working alone or in a team. The company should offer their staff flexible working hours . The working place should be large, bright and tidy. The equipment should be efficient and up-to-date in order to reduce stress at work. There should be more frequent, but shorter, breaks. If companies implemented these suggestions, not only would they improve their workplaces, but also make their employees happier and, consequently, have a higher chance of increasing their productivity.
