CONCLUSIONS
• Be cautious when adding the specifications in the nodes
and sinks.
• Always keep in mind that even though the pressure
specification is given to the node that is the furthest away
from the sink, the simulation may not converge.
• Keep in mind the flowrate of the sink with the pressure
specification.
• In case of convergence problems try a node with much
larger flow not as far away and modify the specification in
order to comply with the pressure in every node.

The results of your simulation will be as accurate as the
data you enter.
Always recheck you calculation when the piping layout
changes, specially in multiphase lines.
Check that you don’t exceed the erosional velocity in
multiphase lines and avoid intermittent and slug type flow
pattern.
