REGIONAL CENTER FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF NOVI PAZAR (RCEENP)

RCEENP, established on MAY 2012, is an organizational unit of the SUNP which represents an integral part of the network of regional Centres of Serbia.

RCEENP was established due to the strategic need for improvement of conditions and measures for the RUE and fuels in the region of Novi Pazar.

The key characteristics of the energy sector in Serbia are:•a low energy efficiency (both in production and consumption side),

•outdated technology in the production sector,

•a low level of investments and an unrealistic low price of electricity,

•a low share in renewable energy sources and an unreasonable consumption of practically all forms of energy.

Workshop ENERESE, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at University of Nis(4-5 April 2013)

The activity of RCEENP are:

•campaign for improvement of the awareness and change of the general attitude towards energy,

•affirmation of the principle of voluntary implementation of EE measures, both in industry and in municipality services, building construction and education,

•affirmation of the need for introduction of new tuition units on EE, RES and environmental protection, from secondary schools to universities,

•organization and implementation of scientific and expert studies and projects for the development and improvement of the efficiency of installed energy technologies and environmental protection

Workshop ENERESE, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at University of Nis(4-5 April 2013)

•ENERESE activities in January-March 2013:•28 January - Meeting of regional management team at FME-Bg

•Unique curriculum has to be developed with possibility of some WB partners to add to syllabus some topics of their choice (not more than 30%). WG was formed (SUNP, FME, SCOE)

06 March - Meeting of WG from RS at FME-BG. Developed syllabus for RS partner’s universities (SUNP, UB, UN)

28 March - UME accepted proposed ENERESE syllabus with minor differences

30 March - ENERSE syllabus was completely harmonized with UME at phone meeting of RS and UME partners
