APPLICATION GUIDE PHYSICS DRIVING CHEMISTRY ENERCAT™ SLICK LINE TOOL ASSEMBLY The ENERCAT™ material acts as a Band Pass Filter using physics to drive chemistry. It absorbs the energy and frequency of ambient temperature and pressure. It then reflects or emits a different frequency, acting as a catalyst for chemical changes to occur in oil and water. For the ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly tool to run effectively, it must be installed as deep as possible so it can condition the oil and water before the fluids’ compositions change due to temperature and pressure drops. The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly consists of a J fish neck, ENERCAT™ Trim Tools(s), and a Seating Assembly sized for the correct seating nipple. Other configurations of the assembly are available depending on specific well conditions. The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly is installed using the 2” J Soft Release running tool. Multiple ENERCAT™ Trim Tools can be made-up to increase BOPD capacity. ENERCAT™ Trim Tools are offered with a nickel coating for corrosive environments. The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly can also be installed in conjunction with other tool types to increase capacity. Installation Instructions 1. Makeup the Seating Assembly to the Trim Tool(s). Multiple Trim Tools can be screwed together using connectors for increased capacity if needed. 2. Makeup the Fish Neck to the ENERCAT™ Trim Tool(s) to complete the slickline tool assembly. 3. Makeup the 2” J Soft Release Running Tool to the slickline tool string 4. Insert the 1” fish neck of ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly into the Running Tool. 5. Run in hole with the assembly. 6. When the tool assembly reaches the no-go restriction of the seating nipple, the weight of the tool string forces the 2” J Soft Release Running Tool to rotate around the fish neck of the ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly thereby releasing the running tool from the assembly. 7. Pull out of the hole with the J Soft Release Running Tool. REV13_10.31.19

PHYSICS DRIVING CHEMISTRY

ENERCAT™ SLICK LINE TOOL ASSEMBLY

• The ENERCAT™ material acts as a Band Pass Filter using physics to drive chemistry. It absorbs the energy and frequency of ambient temperature and pressure. It then reflects or emits a different frequency, acting as a catalyst for chemical changes to occur in oil and water.

• For the ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly tool to run effectively, it must be installed as deep as possible so it can condition the oil and water before the fluids’ compositions change due to temperature and pressure drops.

• The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly consists of a J fish neck, ENERCAT™ Trim Tools(s), and a Seating Assembly sized for the correct seating nipple.

• Other configurations of the assembly are available depending on specific well conditions.

• The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly is installed using the 2” J Soft Release running tool.

• Multiple ENERCAT™ Trim Tools can be made-up to increase BOPD capacity.

• ENERCAT™ Trim Tools are offered with a nickel coating for corrosive environments.

• The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly can also be installed in conjunction with other tool types to increase capacity.

Installation Instructions

1. Makeup the Seating Assembly to the Trim Tool(s). Multiple Trim Tools can be screwed together using connectors for increased capacity if needed.

2. Makeup the Fish Neck to the ENERCAT™ Trim Tool(s) to complete the slickline tool assembly.

3. Makeup the 2” J Soft Release Running Tool to the slickline tool string

• The 2” J Latch Soft Release is used to “soft set” the ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly consisting of a 1” fishneck and ENERCAT™ Trim Tool(s).

• When the slickline tool string sets down, the weight of the tool string forces the 2” J Soft Release Running Tool to rotate around the fishneck of the ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly thereby releasing the running tool from the assembly.

• Once released, the running tool can be brought to surface.

• The ENERCAT™ Slickline Tool Assembly is retrieved using a 1-3/8” standard JDC pulling tool.

• The 1-3/8” “JDC” Pulling Tool is used to engage and retrieve equipment with external fishing necks.

• The JDC Pulling Tool is designed to shear and release by downward jarring.

• Ensure the proper core is installed so as the tool can properly be sheared as the improper core may result in the inability to release the tool.

• Care should be taken to inspect the dogs, skirt, and fishneck for damage such as metal. fatigue, cracking, or deformity of the metal.
