Objectives:- Children will be able to spell words with ee and ea spelling patterns.
Introduction:Read chdn poems with ee and ea words in… ‘There was once a sheep whohad a dream…’Chdn to notice words with ee and ea. Underline each pattern with acoloured pen.Can chdn think of any more words with these letters in?
Activities:- Chdn to fill in correct missing letters in words. To be checked using
dictionary. Lower ability to find the words in dictionary.- Produce a class chart of words children have found with ea or ee.- Extension – Can chdn find words that begin with ee or ea?- Writing poems with words with one or the other letter pattern, or both
depending on ability.
