2016 Overview: Data Report

Cloud Connect China 2016, the 4th edition, was successfully held on September 20-22 at Shanghai International Convention Center. It outlined the appearance and trend of current global cloud computing industry from the dimensions of technical workshops, keynote speech, conference tracks, an expo and value-added activities.

This year, the conference invited tech leaders of top cloud companies from home and abroad as speakers, and information leaders from the enterprises and organizations like prpl Foundation, Coca-Cola, Haier Group, Disney, Ford Motor, CPIC, PingAn Technology, Goodbaby, China Unionpay, Honeywell, China Financial Futures Exchange, TAIKANG AMC, etc., also showed up to share their understandings from the perspective of end users, which echoed the keynote of Cloud Trends and Practice. The six conference tracks focus on Data Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Vertical & Industrial Cloud, Cloud Infrastructure and Practice, Cloud-Native & OpenStack Technology and Application, Vertical & Industrial Cloud & Cloud Security, Software-defined Datacenter.

This year, 210 awards applications from 131 enterprises were totally received, and 107 applications of 71 enterprises shortlisted the Five Awards. All winners were announced during the Awards Ceremony on September 21. The growing participation has remarkably improved the attention and importance of this selection program .Top Cloud Connect Awards was founded in 2014 and includes five awards programs, which are annual Future Enterprise Disruptors in China, Best Global Cloud Practices, Best Global Cloud Innovations, Most Influential Cloud People in China and Top Brands from China. It aims to annually applaud the companies, products and individuals that have made great contributions to the cloud computing industry within the previous year.

After the first successful trial, UBM China and Shanghai Chief Information Officer Union cooperated again for the 2nd Enterprise CIO Forum this year. Around 80 enterprise IT decision makers from user industries like finance, medicine, manufacture and commerce were invited onsite for industrial transformation and best practices. The scene atmosphere was really good with heated discussions.

Part of the visitors were invited to take part in the firstly completed Match & Meet business matching activity during Cloud Connect China 2016. Through the one-stop operation: browse the sponsor/attendee information online → send a meeting request → meet at appointed area onsite , it creates highly efficient one-to-one negotiations to achieve the real connections by participants.
