Attitudes to Death & Dying Survey2014

A few suggestions on how we can encourage the people of Walsall to have conversations about death, dying and end of life……

“Encourage people to see the end of life as part of the whole

process of living”

“Talk about it more, we are all going to die at some point, it is not a taboo subject”

“Teach about death in schools, debates amongst children will soon spread to the adults! Items in the local newspaper or on local radio highlighting options & services to the public with regard to end of life care, funeral plans etc.”

“Interactive methods such as blogs , Facebook etc. Drama and arts and health workshops, role play scenarios……”

“Advanced Care Planning as used by Palliative Care Nurses should be discussed at all available opportunities e.g. In meetings, in schools and at other institutes and organisations, so eventually it is the norm to discuss such matters”
