There is a difference. A home is a place where we eat and sleep, build relationships ~ the place we live. This “home” idea starts making the brick and mortar much more valuable than simply building materials. Why? It is because love is found in the “home.” Values are built at “home.” And faith to lead us daily is supported by this “home.” Ten years ago this month we worshiped together for the first time in our new Worship Center. What began as a beautiful place of worship, built of brick and mortar, today sure feels like home to a lot of people! Let’s think about all that has transpired since that first Sunday that has given it the feeling of home. Maybe it is the memory of your wedding ceremony, witnessing the public decision of someone’s salvation, a child or grandchild being baptized, a memorial service of a family member or friend, a fellowship, a concert, a Reality Weekend, a choir tour concert, or a report from a mission trip. How have these experiences involved or impacted your family? Seating over 1,700 people, we’ve been able to facilitate groups from numerous churches as we have hosted events like Reality Weekend, the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, and many Christian artists bringing song and testimony to Benton. God continues to be faithful to His Church. And we continue to see how the Worship Center is used for His Glory! We would like to invite everyone who calls First Baptist their home to join us and our families this Sunday morning (September 7) for a special 10th Anniversary Service of the opening of the Worship Center. Bring a guest with you as we appreciate our past and anticipate our future. Encourager the

Church Family,

When you think of your own house, are your thoughts on the wood, brick, and materials, or do

you think about what makes your house a home? There is a difference. A home is a place where

we eat and sleep, build relationships ~ the place we live. This “home” idea starts making the brick

and mortar much more valuable than simply building materials. Why? It is because love is found

in the “home.” Values are built at “home.” And faith to lead us daily is supported by this “home.”

Ten years ago this month we worshiped together for the first time in our new Worship Center.

What began as a beautiful place of worship, built of brick and mortar, today sure feels like home

to a lot of people! Let’s think about all that has transpired since that first Sunday that has given it

the feeling of home. Maybe it is the memory of your wedding ceremony, witnessing the public

decision of someone’s salvation, a child or grandchild being baptized, a memorial service of a family

member or friend, a fellowship, a concert, a Reality Weekend, a choir tour concert, or a report

from a mission trip. How have these experiences involved or impacted your family?

Seating over 1,700 people, we’ve been able to facilitate groups from numerous churches as we

have hosted events like Reality Weekend, the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, and many

Christian artists bringing song and testimony to Benton.

God continues to be faithful to His Church. And we continue to see how the Worship Center is

used for His Glory! We would like to invite everyone who calls First Baptist their home to join us

and our families this Sunday morning (September 7) for a special 10th Anniversary Service of the

opening of the Worship Center. Bring a guest with you as we appreciate our past and anticipate

our future.

In Christ,

Brian Rutherford, Vision 20/20 Chairman

Stan Chester, Personnel Committee Chairman

Randy Robinson, Chairman of Deacons
