ENCORE ACADEMY PATHWAYS TO
SUCCESS2015-2016
DRAFT
REFLECTIONS- A regular high school with an artsy name.
- Unsure how to integrate arts and design into core classes while still covering content.
- Encore was the ‘default school’ if a student did not feel like they fit in anywhere else.
- Therefore, passion for the arts was lacking.
- Many students talented in the arts and design.
- Expose every student in Encore to Performance Art, Visual Art, and Communications.
- Direct students to select a strand and focus on it toward post-secondary education.
