1. SAFETY INFORMATIONBefore beginning the installation and use of thisappliance, carefully read the supplied instructions. Themanufacturer is not responsible for any injuries ordamages that are the result of incorrect installation orusage. Always keep the instructions in a safe andaccessible location for future reference.

- Read the supplied instructions.

1.1 Children and vulnerable people safetyWARNING!Risk of suffocation, injury or permanentdisability.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 yearsand above and by persons with reduced capabilitiesprovided that they have been given instruction and/orsupervision regarding the safe use of the applianceand understand the potential hazards involved.

• Do not let children play with the appliance.• Children aged 3 years and under must be kept away

from this appliance when it is in operation at all times.• Keep all packaging away from children and dispose of

it appropriately.• Keep detergents away from children.• Keep children and pets away from the appliance door

when it is open.• If the appliance has a child safety device, this should

be activated.• Children shall not carry out cleaning and user

maintenance of the appliance without supervision.

1.2 General Safety• Do not change the specification of this appliance.• If the tumble dryer is put on top of a washing machine,

use the stacking kit. The stacking kit, available from

your authorized vendor, can be used only with theappliance specified in the instructions, supplied withthe accessory. Read it carefully before installation(Refer to the Installation leaflet).

• The appliance can be installed as freestanding orbelow the kitchen counter with correct space (Refer tothe Installation leaflet).

• Do not install the appliance behind a lockable door, asliding door or a door with a hinge on the oppositeside, that would prevent the appliance door from beingfully opened.

• The ventilation opening in the base (if applicable) mustnot be covered by a carpet, mat, or any floor covering.

• Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only atthe end of the installation process. Make sure that themains plug is accessible after installation..

• Ensure good air ventilation in the located room toavoid the back flow of gases into the room fromappliances burning gas or other fuels, including openfires.

• Exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which isused for exhausting fumes from any appliancesburning gas or other fuels.

• If the mains power supply cable is damaged, it mustbe replaced by the manufacturer, its AuthorisedService Centre or similarly qualified persons to avoidan electrical hazard.

• Do not exceed the maximum load of 9 kg (refer to the"Programme chart" chapter).

• Do not use the appliance if items have been soiledwith industrial chemicals.

• Wipe away lint or packaging debris that hasaccumulated around the appliance.

• Do not run the appliance without a filter. Clean the lintfilter before or after each use.

• Do not dry unwashed items in the tumble dryer.

• Items that have been soiled with substances such ascooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spotremovers, turpentine, waxes and wax removersshould be washed in hot water with an extra amount ofdetergent before being dried in the tumble dryer.

• Items such as foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps,waterproof textiles, rubber backed articles and clothesor pillows fitted with foam rubber pads should not bedried in the tumble dryer.

• Fabric softeners, or similar products, should only beused as specified by the product manufacturer’sinstructions.

• Remove all objects from items that could be a sourceof fire ignition such as lighters or matches.

• Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of the dryingcycle unless all items are quickly removed and spreadout so that the heat is dissipated.

• The final part of a tumble dryer cycle occurs withoutheat (cool down cycle) to ensure that the items are leftat a temperature that ensures that the items will not bedamaged.

• Before any maintenance operation, deactivate theappliance and disconnect the mains plug from thesocket.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS2.1 Installation• Remove all the packaging and the

transit bolts.• Do not install or use a damaged

appliance.• Follow the installation instruction

supplied with the appliance.• Always take care when moving the

appliance as it is heavy. Always usesafety gloves and enclosed footwear.

• Do not install or use the appliancewhere the temperature can be lessthan 5°C or higher than 35°C.

• The floor area where the appliance isto be installed must be flat, stable,heat resistant and clean.

• Make sure that there is air circulationbetween the appliance and the floor.

• Always keep the appliance verticalwhen being moved.

• The rear surface of the appliancemust be put against the wall.

• When the appliance is in itspermanent position, check that it isfully level with the aid of a spirit level.If it is not, adjust the feet accordingly.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the electrical

information on the rating plate agreeswith the power supply. If not, contactan electrician.

• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Do not pull the mains cable todisconnect the appliance. Always pullthe mains plug.

• Do not touch the mains cable or themains plug with wet hands.

• This appliance complies with theE.E.C. Directives.

2.3 UseWARNING!Risk of injury, electricalshock, fire, burns or damageto the appliance.

• This appliance is for household useonly.

• Do not dry damaged (torn, frayed)items that contain padding or fillings.

• Only dry fabrics which are applicableto dry in the tumble dryer. Follow theinstructions on the fabric label.

• If you have washed your laundry witha stain remover start an extra rinsecycle before you start the dryer.

• Do not drink or prepare food with thecondensed water/distilled water. It cancause health problems to people andpets.

• Do not sit or stand on the open door.• Do not dry dripping wet clothes in the

tumble dryer.

2.4 Internal lightWARNING!Risk of injury.

• Visible LED radiation, do not lookdirectly into the beam.

• The type of light bulb or halogen lampused for this appliance is only for

household appliances. Do not use itfor house lighting.

• To replace the internal light, contactthe Authorised Service Centre.

2.5 Care and cleaningWARNING!Risk of injury or damage tothe appliance.

• Do not use water spray and steam toclean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist softcloth. Only use neutral detergents. Donot use abrasive products, abrasivecleaning pads, solvents or metalobjects.

2.6 CompressorWARNING!Risk of damage to theappliance.

• The compressor and its system in thetumble dryer is filled with the specialagent which is free from fluoro-chloro-hydrocarbons. This system must staytight. The damage of the system cancause a leakage.

2.7 DisposalWARNING!Risk of injury or suffocation.

• Disconnect the appliance from themains electrical and water supplies.

• Cut off the mains electrical cableclose to the appliance and dispose ofit.

• Remove the door catch to preventchildren or pets from becomingtrapped in the drum.

• Dispose of the appliance inaccordance with local requirementsfor the disposal of Waste Electricaland Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

6. OPTIONS6.1 Time This option is applicable only to the TimeDrying programme. You can set theprogramme duration, from a minimum of10 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours.The setting of the duration is related tothe quantity of laundry in the appliance.

We recommend that you seta short duration for smallquantities of laundry or foronly one item.

6.2 Wool Load This option is applicable only to the Woolprogramme. To get laundry more driedpress the Wool Load touchpad againand again to increase the programmeduration.

6.3 Anti-crease Extends of 60 minutes the standardanticrease phase (30 minutes) at the endof the drying cycle. This function keepsthe load tumbling for the selectedamount of time, preventing the laundry

from creases. The laundry can beremoved during the anticrease phase.

6.4 Rack Time Drying This option is applicable only to theDrying Rack programme. You can set theprogramme duration, from a minimum of30 minutes to a maximum of 4 hours.The setting of the duration is related tothe quantity of laundry in the appliance.We recommend that you set a shortduration for small quantities of laundry orfor only one item.

6.5 Reverse Plus To dry more lightly the sensitive andtemperature sensitive textiles (e.g.acrylic, viscose). This function helps alsoto decrease the creases on the laundry.For fabrics with the symbol on thefabric label.

6.6 Dryness This function helps to get the laundrymore dried. There are 4 possibleselections:

• Extra Dry• Cupboard Dry+ (for Cotton only)• Cupboard Dry• Iron Dry

6.7 MyFavourite You can do your configuration ofprogramme and options and memorise inthe appliance memory.

To memorise yourconfiguration:1. Set the programme and available

options.2. Touch the MyFavourite for some

seconds.The sound and the message on thedisplay confirm that the configuration ismemorised.

To activate your memorisedconfiguration:1. Activate the appliance.2. Touch the MyFavourite.

7.1 Child lock functionThis option prevents children to play withthe appliance while a programmeoperates. The programme knob and thetouchpads are locked.Only the on/off button is unlocked.

Activating the child lock option:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Wait approximately 8 seconds.3. Press and hold touchpads (A) and

(D) at the same time. The child lockindicator comes on.

The child lock indicator comes on.It is possible to deactivatethe child lock option while aprogramme operates. Pressand hold the sametouchpads until the child lockindicator goes off.

7.2 Buzzer on/offTo deactivate or activate the acousticsignals, press and hold for approximately2 seconds touchpads (B) and (C) at thesame time.

7.3 Adjustment of the remaininglaundry moisture degreeTo change the default degree of theremaining moisture of the laundry:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Wait approximately 8 seconds.3. Press and hold buttons (A) and (B) at

the same time.

One of the these indicators comes on:• the maximum dry laundry• the more dry laundry• the standard dry laundry

4. Press the button (E) again and againuntil the indicator of the correct levelcomes on.

5. To confirm the adjustment, press andhold buttons (A) and (B) at the sametime for approximately 2 seconds.

7.4 The indicator of the watercontainerBy default, the indicator of the watercontainer is on. It comes on when theprogramme is completed or when it isnecessary to empty the water container.

If the draining kit is installed(additional accessory), theappliance automaticallydrains the water from thewater container. In thiscondition we recommendthat you deactivate theindicator of the watercontainer.Refer to the suppliedinformation for availableaccessories.

Deactivating the watercontainer indicator:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Wait approximately 8 seconds.3. Press and hold touchpads (J) and (I)

at the same time.The display shows one of these 2configurations:

• The indicator is off and theindicator is on.The indicator of the watercontainer is off. Afterapproximately 4 seconds, the 2indicators go off.

• The indicator and areon.The indicator of the watercontainer is on. Afterapproximately 4 seconds, the 2indicators go off.

8. BEFORE FIRST USEBefore you use the appliance for the firsttime:• Clean the tumble dryer drum with a

moist cloth.• Start a short programme (e.g. 30

minutes) with moist laundry.

At the beginning of thedrying cycle (first 3-5 min.)there could be a slightlyhigher sound level. This isdue to the compressorstarting up. This is normalfor compressor poweredappliances such asrefrigerators and freezers.

9. DAILY USE9.1 Start a programme withoutdelay start1. Prepare the laundry and load the

appliance.

CAUTION!Make sure that whenyou close the door, thelaundry does not catchbetween the appliancedoor and the rubberseal.

2. Press the on/off button to activate theappliance.

3. Set the correct programme andoptions for the type of load.

The display shows the programmeduration.

The drying time you see isrelated to the load of 5 kg forcotton and jeansprogrammes. For the otherprogrammes the drying timeis related to therecommended loads. Thedrying time of the cotton andjeans programmes with theload more than 5 kg islonger.

4. Press the Start/Pause touchpad.The programme starts.

9.2 Starting the programmewith delay start1. Set the correct programme and

options for the type of load.2. Press the delay start button again

and again until the display shows thedelay time you want to set.

You can delay the startof a programme from aminimum of 30 minutesto a maximum of 20hours.

3. Press the Start/Pause touchpad.The display shows the countdown of thedelay start.When the countdown is completed, theprogramme starts.

9.3 Change a programme1. Press the on/off button to deactivate

appliance2. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.

3. Set the programme.

9.4 At the end of theprogrammeWhen the programme is completed:• An intermittent acoustic signal

operates.• The indicator flashes.• The indicator flashes.• The Start/Pause indicator is on.The appliance continues to operate withthe crease guard phase forapproximately other 30 minutes.The crease guard phase preventscreases from your laundry.You can remove the laundry before thecrease guard phase is completed. Werecommend, for better results, that youremove the laundry when the phase isalmost completed.When the crease guard phase iscompleted:

• The indicator is on but does notflash.

• The indicator is on but does notflash.

• Start/Pause indicator goes off.1. Press the on/off button to deactivate

the appliance.2. Open the appliance door.3. Remove the laundry.4. Close the appliance door.

Always clean the filter andempty the water containerwhen a programme iscompleted.

9.5 Auto Off functionTo decrease the energy consumption,this function automatically deactivatesthe appliance:• After 5 minutes if you do not start the

programme.• After 5 minutes from the end of the

programme.

10. HINTS AND TIPS10.1 Preparing the laundry• Close the zippers.• Close the fasteners of duvet covers.• Do not dry ties or ribbons loose (e.g.

apron ribbons). Tie them before youstart a programme.

• Remove all items from pockets.• If an item has an internal layer made

of cotton, turn it inside out. Make surethat the cotton layer is always outwardfacing.

• We recommend that you set a correctprogramme suitable for the type offabrics that are in the appliance.

• Do not put dark colours together withlight colours. Dark colours can bleed.

• Use a suitable programme for cotton,jersey and knitwear to preventshrinkage.

• Make sure that the load size is notmore than the maximum stated theprogramme table.

• Only dry laundry that is suitable fortumble drying. Refer to the fabric labelon the items.

• Do not dry large and small itemstogether. Small items can be trappedinside the large items and remain wet.

11.4 Cleaning the drumWARNING!Disconnect the appliancebefore you clean it.

Use a standard neutral soap detergent toclean the inner surface of the drum anddrum lifters. Dry the cleaned surfaceswith a soft cloth.

CAUTION!Do not use abrasivematerials or steel wool toclean the drum.

11.5 Cleaning the control paneland housingUse a standard neutral soap detergent toclean the control panel and housing.Use a moist cloth to clean. Dry thecleaned surfaces with a soft cloth.

CAUTION!Do not use furniture cleaningagents or cleaning agentswhich can cause corrosionto clean the appliance.

11.6 Cleaning the airflow slotsUse a vacuum cleaner to remove flufffrom the airflow slots.

12. TROUBLESHOOTINGProblem Possible solutionYou cannot activate the appliance. Make sure that the mains plug is connec‐

ted to the mains socket.

Check fuse in fuse box (domestic installa‐tion).

The programme does not start. Press Start/Pause.

Make sure that the appliance door isclosed.

The appliance door does not close. Make sure that the installation of the filteris correct.

Make sure that the laundry does notcatch between the appliance door andthe rubber seal.

The appliance stops during operation. Make sure that the water container isempty. Press Start/Pause to start the pro‐gramme again.

The cycle time is too long or unsatisfacto‐ry drying result.1)

Make sure that the weight of the laundryis applicable to the duration of the pro‐gramme.

Make sure that the filter is clean.

The laundry is too wet. Spin the laundryin the washing machine again.

Ensure that the room temperature ishigher than +5°C and lower than +35°C.Optimal room temperature is 19°C to24°C.

Set the Time Drying or the Extra Dry pro‐gramme.2)

The display shows Err. If you want to set a new programme, de‐activate and activate the appliance.

Make sure that the options are applicableto the programme.

The display shows (e.g. E51). Deactivate and activate the appliance.Start a new programme. If the problemoccurs again, contact the Service.
