This 17th international conference on fi re safety and innovative fl ame retardants for plastics focuses on the latest develop-ments in fi re safety regulations and tests in building and transport, as well as on new and advanced fl ame retardant systems and their use in polymers.

This time, special emphasis will be placed on innovations from academia in Europe and the USA and their potential for in-dustrial applications discussed. The topics range from synergy mechanisms, 3D printing for textiles, new developments in organo-phosphorus compounds, halogenfree fl ame retardants in foams and wood as well as their weathering resistance, and advances in the chemical analysis of fl ame retardants. In parallel, the latest commercial developments for novel fl ame retardants and synergists, smoke suppressants and polymers will be presented. Flame retardant systems in e-mobility, re-cycling of fl ame retardant polyurethanes, new fl ame retardant TPU compounds, the benefi cial use of smoke suppressants, synergistic formulations and processing of highly fi lled fl ame retardant cable compounds will provide further answers to questions on the fi re safety of plastics.
