Employment Opportunity for Lateral Firefighter/CEP Application Process: To be considered you will need to submit all relevant certificates/certifications, a complete application and resume. Written and or skills testing
Physical ability testing
Oral Boards
Background Checks
Medical/Physical Evaluation
Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Valid Arizona Driver’s License
Three years’ experience as a fulltime firefighter / papramedic Arizona Firefighter I and II certification or equivalent
Current Arizona or National Registry Paramedic with a minimum of two years experiencewith an EMS company, department or district.
Be able to obtain medical direction from MVFD’s Base Hospital
Must be able to obtain Wildland Red Card certification as a Firefighter II or higher
Hazardous Materials First Responder certification
Speak, read, and write the English language
Must pass the initial employment physical standard.
Meet insurability requirements of the District’s insurance carrier
Salary and Benefits:
$13.60 to $16.49 per hour AZ PSPRS Retirement Plan Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
Tuition Reimbursement
Holidays and 48-96 shift
