    Assembly Term 2

On the last day of term 2 we held our week

10 School Assembly (sorry…. No external

visitors were allowed). We had quite a few

awards to hand out and some wonderful class

    work to share.

The 3-6 class shared a Reconcilation iMovie

that they created with Ms Rantissi.

The K-2 class shared some Blob Monsters

they created with Mrs Went that used their

knowledge of symmetry that they had been

learning with Ms Avery & Miss Smith.

    Senior class maths

The 3-6 class had a lot of fun making Play

Dough in preparation for our maths lesson on

Cross Sections. We made 3D models and

then used fishing line to cut the shapes to find

the 2D Cross Section that was formed.

I know what you’re thinking…. Maths is such

    fun!!

    Junior Class

    Show and Tell

    The Junior

    Class got an

    extra special

    treat when

    Tahnae shared

    his news this

    week. His Mum

    brought in his 9-

    week-old baby

    brother ‘Oakley’.

Tamzin and Oakley had originally planned to

simply bring in some woodwork craft projects

for Tahnae to show to the class but ended up

being the star of the presentation as the

whole class completely fell in love with baby

    Oakley!

The Junior Class are learning about families

at the moment and this was a great

    inspiration for many classroom

    conversations.

Ms Rantissi & Miss Smith simply can’t wait for

Covid 19 restrictions to lift so they can give

    him a snuggle!

    Welcome William and Tobin

    We would like to warmly

    welcome our new recruits

William in Year 2 and Tobin in

    Kindergarten to our school

    community, who have joined

    us from far north Queensland.

    The whole school has really

    enjoyed learning and playing

    alongside our new students.
