Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending this session, participants will:• Be aware of the leadership opportunities offered at Florida

Gulf Coast University• Have an understanding on how to integrate CAS into

leadership education.• Learn about the Emerging Eagles program and how CAS and

assessment play a key role in it’s success.• Develop ideas on how to integrate similar processes at

individual institutions.

Leadership Development Mission

MISSIONThe Leadership Development program is committed to the holistic experience of students by providing leadership skill development opportunities for the Florida Gulf Coast University community. Through such initiatives, individuals will practice, reflect and apply leadership knowledge and skills that will empower individuals to question critically, think logically, and live ethically while becoming active citizens within the Florida Gulf Coast University community and the rapidly changing world.

EMERGING EAGLES: FIRST YEAR LEADERSHIP

Emerging Eagles is leadership development program designed for first year students and new

leaders to promote the discovery of individual leadership styles.

The program seeks to foster leadership potential and provide students the necessary tools to become effective leaders in the

Florida Gulf Coast University campus, community, and

beyond.
