Haiti Earthquake
The Salvation Army have been responding since the earthquake struck, involving more than 700 personnel from Haiti and specialist support from the USA and the UK.

Help and aid have been getting through in spite of the aftershocks and there have been some real stories of hope amidst the tragedy.

Last Saturday morning a baby girl was delivered at The Salvation Army clinic in Port-au Prince, the first of many babies to be born in the area following the earthquake.

At a SA clinic in Fond-de-negres, 75 miles south-west of Port–au-Prince, staff have been working around the clock to house and treat victims.

Thousands of people have been provided with food supplies to last them for five days. By next week, The Salvation Army expects to have provided 2 million meals.

•Pray for strength in their tiredness and hope in their despair.
